What a brilliant market. The walking Street was just behind our hotel and seemed to go on for miles. There were brilliant stalls selling everything including ethnic tribe items. The food stalls were interesting! Very safe place to be. Loved it.

Delicious mix of foods and treats from Thailand, good way to try new items without committing to a full serving at a restaurant. Also, best way to purchase souvenirs on the island too! Got real pearl earrings for an absurdly low price. Must do!

This is a pretty standard walking street/tourist night market for Thailand. Plenty of gifts and souvenirs of all price ranges to choose from. Crowded with tourists but not too hard to walk through. There is both very expensive food in the restaurants and cheap food from stalls. We had Pad Thai for 80B I think. I bought some small gifts... More

Plenty of stalls and plenty of bargins if your willing to negotiate.. They do start on the high side. The food is a bargin here and fresh.

We visited the street as a family of five adults, ranging in ages 63 to 23,whilst on holiday in Choeng Mon in October. The street has a great market on Friday nights which is a bit classier than most of the markets you see around Thailand. There are many restaurants in the area serving authentic Thai food., and there is... More

I love this place and one day I wish to retire there. It's a lot quieter than chawang and a bit classier than chawang.

Very busy and lots of stalls a lot of the same tourist things as expected. Nice street food lots of bars and some restaurants. Cheap cocktails. We were staying in Lamai and we paid 400bht for tut tut on the way there and same price for air conditioned taxi on the way home. I would like to visit again in... More

Well Chaweng area is full of so called "tourist restaurants" that will do almost anything to get in to their restaurant, overpriced dishes that taste like home... your home in Europe or America. So if you up to have a real Thai food with real Thai prices, look for the photo I attached, the food here is so good that... More
