Gabriel and family have put their heart and soul into their farming - we learned so much about biodiversity farming and things about coffee we never knew. Wear long pants and sneakers as you will walk paths through the fields and put on bug repellant (something I wish I was told) You will really enjoy watching the roasting and taste... More

This was a very informative coffee tour. I'd been to the other "big name" coffee tour ... but this one was a family run outfit, very personalized. I learned a lot about the process of "organic certification" and what it means. I watched how beans get roasted, and change color. I tasted a variety of roasts from blonde to dark... More

Super coffee tour that not only is run by the nicest family, but it is SO educational! You learn not only about coffee but also about farming, the truth behind organic products and even health. The tasting was really fun and interesting and accompanied by really delicious treats. If you want to do a coffee tour in Costa Rica, this... More

We learned a lot and had a great time interacting with Gabriel. After this tour you really appreciate the effort that goes into that cup of morning Joe. I was surprised by the results of the blind taste test. It is really neat the way they are intermingling different plants - it's not just coffee. But it's mostly coffee -... More

I saw this on Trip Advisor and thought it would be interesting. we visited this morning and it was such a great tour and learning experience. I am not much of a coffee drinker, but learned I was trying the wrong strength all these years. The owner's son Gabriel gave us our tour and is so very passionate about their... More

I suspected I might need boots for this tour. Glad that I wore them! The plantation is along side the steep hills. The paths are small and can be muddy. That said, the pace is leisurely and there is much to see and learn. This experience feels very authentically, rural, Costa Rican. Gabriel and his family have such passion for... More

I am not a coffee drinker, but this little family owned farm is special. Probably the best 3 hours we spent in Costa rica. You gotta go to understand how that's possible...WOW

Guides try to steer you to the bigger plantations. We stumbled upon this one and it was incredible. We met Gabriel (The son of the owners of the plantation), the man knows his coffee, the soil and the surrounding greenery. I felt like I was in Italy with my parents learning about grapes and wines. Gabriel is sweet, sincere and... More

Our original plan was to do the coffee tour and spend 2 days on the farm, but it was so good that we decided to prolong it to 1 week. The lodge was close to the nature with a very nice terrace where we usually spent the mornings with a nice cup of coffee. Not even mentioning the owners of... More
