This Rizal Shrine is the home of our Philippine national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal and where he was born. A historical place and a must visit of all Filipinos in all ages. Located in the center of Calamba City. Kudos to the management that continues to maintain this important place clean, beautiful, updated and interactive. Highly recommended to friends, family... I love the new upgrades to the museum. Everything is more interactive now and very clean and beautiful. Hope the management will continue to maintain the place considering it's historical importance.

The house is well preserved but with minimal furniture. It is located at the center of Calamba City. The lawn is spacious but parking is a bit a challenge. The first time I saw an old toilet and a water well connected to the house. The museum is very educational and always updated to the modern times. We visited the... More

This review is quite late. The Rizal Shrine is a historic place which every Filipino must visit since it is the home of our national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal. It is a short ride from Manila and is not very congested like other tourist attractions.

Since elementary-high school this place is always one of our destination during field trip. I still remember the first time there, I was so amazed by the structure and how does the house. I was so greatful that time 'coz I've finally visited the home where Dr. Jose Rizal and his family used to live before.

As compared to the past, the shrine now is very well maintained despite of it having no entrance fee for visitors. Very nice place to reminisce history...unfortunately a super majority of the house have been rebuilt. The only thing original there would be the basement floor.

Although it is not the original house structure of Dr. Jose Rizal it is designed basing on the original house. The museum allows you to have a glimpse of the childhood of our national hero and allows you to reflect on the life of the Filipinos during the spanish era. The old rooms, kitchen, toilet and bath. It had some... More

Been here during an educational tour in gradeschool. And when we visited Laguna I insist of going to Rizal's house as a side trip. Always been a fan of Rizal, and going back to his house now as an adult is just pure joy for me.. Nothing has change really except for the paint of the house but still the... More

We tried several times to visit the shrine of our national hero but were always late as it closes at 5PM. This time we managed to come earlier. There is nothing much to say about this place, it's merely of an educational nature if you are interested about the history of Jose Rizal. You can finish the tour in 15... More
