Worth the drive up from the Motorway (GC1), it's only 25 minutes, but uphill with a winding road with drops on the side.
On the way up you pass Mirador de Veneguera with some spectacular views.
When you arrive at the rock formation there is parking, but it can get busy, & space can soon fill up.
Be careful when arriving as many idiots think it's a good idea to take photos & pose in the middle of the road.
The rocks themselves are truly amazing with the many different colours, unfortunately not always captured on camera.
Well worth a visit.

We really liked it, I read and watched a lot about this place, but the live experience is very impressive.
The combinations of rocks in color are simply magical. Nature is simply the best master.
I highly recommend visiting this place and enjoying this beauty, the only downside is that there is little parking space.

Not seen anything like this before. The range of colours on display is really quite something. Yes it can be seen from a few miles away but it's well worth getting close up to it of possible. There are parking areas off the road alongside but I'd imagine that often they get busy. If possible tough, park up and take a mini-hike up the rocks for a short while to get a closer and better look.

Amazing.

Recommend any travels to go here if you’re as interested in the beauty of nature as I am! Seeing these colored rocks in person is most impressive and I’m still impressed by it! Pictures do not do this place the justice it deserves, go see for yourself! :)

Beautiful site, the colors of the photos presented were a little forced. And above all, THERE IS NO MORE water or waterfall. To stop there, locate a store hut where the saleswoman is super unpleasant.. 1 hour of winding road for 15 minutes of beautiful views on site, but no more natural swimming pool or waterfalls, everything is dry dry dry. Huge disappointment

It is nice, moderate hiking path. You should take it clockwise. Young children (6, 11 y)managed to take about 1 km long path. It took us about 1 hour. Futher we continued with teenager and finished it all. It took uz 2 more hours. A little bit complicated marking of the path. But after the finishing we were so exited, about the views we saw. It forth to take a hike.

What an experience to find this when you are driving for a while. We had nice weather and the sun shone on the mountains. You can park your car opposite the rocks at a stall selling fruit. You can get close to it and if you are there/pass by, definitely take a look.

Passing by bus or car you won't miss this fascinating exhibit of different coloured minerals trying perhaps to remember your Chemistry classes to guess their composition.

What a wonderful day out in the mountains, driving around the winding roads, going higher and higher. The colours on the rocks are spectacular, having being left by the minerals deposited so so long ago........a most interesting display. The weather was fine when we set off and were able to stop for photos, but later, the mist came down over the mountain tops, making a wonderful and dramatic picture. Noticed water running down the gulleys and a few isolated houses.....would need to be self sufficient to live here !
Stopped at Las Canados for lunch, which is a very typical and authentic restaurant, and obviously popular with the locals on a Sunday. So tasted lots of typical dishes including pork which was cooked on their open fire, cocidos ( stew of potatoes, chickpeas, chorizo ) all very tasty, finished off with lovely desserts and apple liqueur. A very interesting place as it has a little museum, full of old typewriters, sewing machines, telephones and everything you can think of, as well as a bedroom set out from years ago ! Plus an outside cage of salamanders, which I at first thought was a stone one as it never moved , and a pond of turtles........an amazing place !! Well recommended visit to Veneguera........breathtaking views, and those beautiful colours too.

Beautiful multi-color geologic formations by the road from Mógan to La Aldea de San Nicolás de Tolentino. The same kind of formations you can see in Death Valley in California. Really cool!
