The town is quiet beautiful and the winding road to the ancient defense position is easy. Enjoyed very much the unrestored areas and the views down over the town and farmlands.

Worth the drive off the highway. Much closer to the highway exit than other castles. Quiet little castle with a gorgeous view of Evora

The beautiful town of Montemor-o-Novo sits below the large Castle of which remain the huge walls and some buildings. It's fun to photograph and to walk the perimeter with it's lovely view.
