It was a little confusing for us so I thought I would share how we did it. From Gdansk you go to bus station. This is near railway station we walked from the old town . So head for railway station. At railway station we used the underground walkways for station. Walked past the cake stalls etc and followed bus... More

Having visited Dachau many many years ago and Auschwitz last year we decided to visit here during a long weekend in Gdansk. We arranged a private taxi driver, who waited for us during our visit. No entry fees, and very little literature available in English, but we did buy a small guide book. Quite a small scale labour camp in... More

We went here on a drizzly, cold day, and we're so glad we did. Moving piece of history, with displays in English, German, and Polish. We took a taxi from Gdańsk, and asked them to wait, as this is a remote location. There were lots of tour groups present, but the place is big enough to go around them, and... More

This is a place that you really must visit! The horrific things that happened here should be shown to the world. It's really interesting to find out what really happened. This place is a must see/visit. We all need to be aware of what happened here and make sure it never happens again. Entry is free.

This place is very impressive, there is no entrance fee and to walk around and read all the information is realy very emotional. After reading parts of the stories told by survivors of this camp was very emotional. With tears in my eyes i left this camp, it will leave a mark on my soul for the rest of my... More

Having visited auschwitz a few years ago i was interested in visiting stutthof during a visit to Gdansk. Its a moving but interesting museum and many of the original buildings still stand. Its free to get in but if you want a guide you have to book in advance but walking round at your own pace is fine, a lot... More

A very thought provoking day away from Gdańsk. Informative permanent exhibitions about conditions in the camp, and detailing the experiences of those imprisoned there. And a particularly moving temporary exhibition about art and poetry in the camp.

As previously stated really easy to get to from Gdansk and a few reviews down has really good instructions of how to get there! Only a small portion of the concentration camp left compared to what it would have been like but still very poignant and moving. The lady at the information desk was very lovely and helpful, said we... More

Went in January and the snow made it feel very surreal. Bitterly cold at -3c. The camp is very well presented with many of the old buildings stil intact. Lack of English translation was a problem but you get the gist of the message. Also no English speakers on duty in the information was a surprise. On Mondays in winter... More
