The castle was interesting with great views, we had lots of info from volunteer at gate and brilliant archer in costume. We think a map, at least, should be provided with a £12 entrance fee to help visitors navigate through the space.

Very interesting talk by tour guide Daniel. Must be pretty fit to climb all the steps though. Lots of interesting things for children too. A bit windy!

We were surprised when the guide in the ticket office said that it would take us at least 1 1/2 hours to get round the castle - he wasn’t exaggerating! It is quite a widespread castle - so do see the 6 minute video first...More

By no means the biggest castle I’ve ever visited but the experience was fantastic. The sense of history starts with the walk up to the entrance and the exhibits in each of the rooms are really interesting. The names of all the archers that served...More

This trip was interesting and fairly informative. Although we did feel spoilt having visited Elizabeth Castle the previous day. This site just didn't hold the same level of interest and enjoyment for us. We can't put our finger on it, but we felt it lacked...More
