10 March to 29 October- Daily - 10am to 6pm. History comes to life at Mont Orgueil Castle, which for over 600 years protected Jersey against French invasion. Explore the network of staircases, towers and secret rooms to discover hidden treasures.

Every time you visit you'll discover a staircase you've not seen before opening up into a room where you'll find something new. Discover Hidden artwork commissioned to tell the story of the castle; Climb the turrets to find the medieval ‘wheel', and descend into the cellar to experience the exhibit. Life-size wooden soldiers guard the castle from attack and 'the wounded man' statue shows the fate that could befall those fighting to save the castle from invasion.

A castle on the eastern shore of Jersey that overlooks the harbour of Gorey. It is also called Gorey Castle. Be prepared to do a lot of walking and climbing steps, but I can assure you it is worth it. Do not miss the urine wheel, see my photos, used by medieval doctors to diagnose patients by the colour of... More

This is a magnificent Castle. You will be climbing up steps to the towers though, but be prepared for magnificent views. Dungeons and crypts, nooks and crannies. Little green lizards. Great hologram of the Queen. Kings and Queens tree sculpture. Spend at least two hours, much more if you take children.

This is a remarkable castle. Most of the structure seems to have been preserved, and there were only a few parts that were 'ruined'. The views from the top are amazing, with a great view of France, Les Ecrehous and Gorey village / Royal Bay of Grouville. There is plenty to see, and it is well worth the entrance fee.... More

This is a must to do visit if you are fit enough. I thought is was great value for money & the views are beautiful, there is so much to see I recommend taking a picnic. It is just as good as the new advert on TV for potatoes suggests.

There are many steps leading up to this castle dominating the Bay. Be aware of this if you have problems climbing. I found £12.20 rather expensive for this visit and although the views from the castle were indeed stunning, the castle being built on different levels lacked for me the interest I found at other places on Jersey. There is... More

Thank you for taking time to write your review. Each year we review our pricing against other attractions in Jersey and ensure that we offer value for money. In recent years we have developed a Heritage Pass, which offers visitors 4 visits for the price of 3, offering even better value for money. The views from the castle are amazing... More

I visited the castle which is quite expensive. The location is superb for its defensive position overlooking the bay and out to sea.

Had a nice couple hours wandering the castle. Elizabeth Castle had a little museum and more directly on the water which made it nice. Most Orgueil had more to the castle to explore. We got lost several times and thought it would be nice if they had a route to follow. But then again it was nice to just explore... More

I'm still not sure how to pronounce its name, but I do know it's certainly worth a visit! A slice through history, from before Walter Raleigh to occupation times, this is a must! There is even a colony of wall lizards, pick a warm sunny day and watch them bask!

We enjoyed our visit here. Lots of places to get lost in and great views from the top which would of been much better if the weather wasn't so wet and dull. Bus number 1 or 1a takes you right there for £2 each.

Quite a lot of walking uphill was involved (from my point of view) to get here but it was worth it. There was initially an informative video showing the history of the castle which allowed me to catch my breath! This is a castle with lots of nooks and crannies and we had quite a time getting lost and found... More
