It was pretty fun. You see different species of birds. The boat driver feeds the birds to get them close to the boat. We also saw gators. Over all it was a fun trip. I would say it was about 30 minutes or so.

A long drive to see cultured rectangular pink salt ponds with a few flamingos and a salt processing plant. Locals harass you for a few pesos to show you nothing special

Uniquely wonderful and well maintained bio-Preserve. A great opportunity to experience a traditional Yucatan fishing village, still largely unspoiled, and to be out on the water in a wetlands area on a significant migratory corridor with a highly visible and very diverse bird population.

On the way to pink lake we went by the boat through the parque. I was impressed, how many birds we could see and this trip was early in the morning. Crocodiles also were impressive.

This was a fantastic tip from the hotel receptionist. Don't miss the boat trip - it's the only way to see an incredible number of beautiful birds, a tired crocodile, and the pink sea. I was traveling alone and had the boat guide to myself...More

The Rio Lagartos nature reserve is beautiful, diverse and full of interesting features/ animals. We saw a horseshoe crab, flamingoes and many other birds. There are also lakes of bright pink water (unfortunately my picture doesn’t show them very pink). This place is a must...More

Still intact natural reserve, full of wild life and a feast for the eyes. Few tourists due to the lack of accommodations creates a tranquille environment. Hopefully for a long time.

It's a very nice way to spend some time on the water. You can see a few spots with loads of flamingos. This would be the main attraction of the boat trip that you take from Rio Lagartos. However, I took it not only for...More
