After asking around the jetty for a boat & a guide with reasonable English we were directed to Jorge Nunez with his boat "Jorge & Diego". His English is near perfect, his gentle humour wonderful and his tour was excellent. Thoroughly recommend.

Our vacataion planning experience with Rio Lagartos Advanrtures was quite disappointing. We'd visited their website and thought we'd like to stay in their lodgings a couple of nights, dine at the restaurant, and take the tour. Well, I don't know what's going on with Diego...More

Diego Nunez is a top notch fly fisherman, even if I am not. We got to play out a few tarpon, then head into the mangroves when the wind was too strong for fly fishing. We had a 20lb tarpon literally jump into our boat....More

A lake where salt is produced, seashore. Water turns pink and it's a great day out although a long drive from Cancun. Great to explore nearby villages and take a tour to see flamingos.

Yes. We stayed in that area first and drove to Rio Lagartos. The roads were very good - the toll road is best to use. We thought it was an easy drive.
