Great operation, produces vanilla pods, wine, vodka etc. Happy for you to sample before buying. Highly recommend for a visit while in the island, plus purchase to get good quality unique liquor. The fresh vanilla pods are also worth purchasing and bringing home

Less of a winery and more of a backyard still. Lots of bottles everywhere. There are no hygiene or cleanliness standards! But very a informative and nice guy. Unfortunately he was still brewing his wine and had run out. We settled for some vanilla pods...More

Very unique, interesting, and cool place to visit. Definitely off the beaten track with a local islander vibe. Not at all commercial. Mr. Koteka introduced me to a variety of great tasting wines and spirits. He has an incredible distillery going on. Vanilla beans and...More

Decided to cruise up to the Koteka winery as we were slowly making our way around the island one day. We had great fun here tasting various wines & liqueurs.

Went specifically after reading about it online. Not what I imagined from prior reviews. The back room where it's made was a little off putting, hygiene wise.

Like stepping into a secret cave, through a gap in the passion fruit vine. Many unique and interesting wines, vodka and spirits, created to a special blend, are to be found. Using my rich vanilla extract for the Christmas baking. Thank you for taking the...More

This is not the typical winery I am use to going to but, more like one backyard lab room in a house set up as a winery/tastings. Its an interesting stop in the jungle, beeping for the winemaker to come out. The winemaker comes out...More

Hi Barbara We simply called on Koteka in the middle of the day and found him in. I suspect that's what most visitors do. I did ask him his hours of business and he said anytime from mid morning til 4pm. But I suspect it's... More
