An enjoyable day trip from Tokyo. JR Pass came in handy. Took almost 3 hrs travel each side. Lake and its surroundings are a great site for a day trip. Autumn season added serenity to the location. With Mt Fuji in the background it was...More

I visited kawaguchiku lake twice, during autumn and during spring. Autumn in kawaguchiku was perfect for me since the weather was cool and the area was greener! However in spring ,or to be honest two weeks before Sakura blooming, the weather was a bit freezing...More

With nice weather would recommend to have a boat tour on the lake facing Mount Fuji. Just an enjoyable experience

We hired a couple of bikes and took a leisurely ride around the lake, taking the opportunity to stop at a few key areas. Not much traffic and great weather.

The view is wonderful. Recommendation of staying in one of the hotels to see the views. Then every day in the morning you can enjoy the view. What a nice day!!

Exploring the coastline of the lake unveils some great gems and interesting finds. Highly suggest hiring a bike and escaping to the nearby Lake Saiko as part of a day ride.
