    Go to the ZOO!!!
Our friends had visited the zoo for a day and were extremely impressed, showing us photographs and videos which inspired us to go. We will be forever indebted to them for sharing their experience because we would not have been aware of the place without them. They suggested to us that we should go for two days for which we were again thankful when we got there because it needs two days to take in everything and absorb the whole experience. I can say nothing more than, "If you have the opportunity to visit Beauval Zoo, DO IT!" This uis my gift to every reader
Hello, Your satisfaction is a beautiful reward for all the teams at ZooParc de Beauval who daily work for animal's well-being and visitor's comfort. You're right, two days are recommended to fully enjoy the 45 hectares of ZooParc de Beauval. Thank you for your visit, and see you soon!

    Excellent zoo with friendly staff
I had an excellent day at the zoo. You can buy your ticket online and add it to your wallet. I took the train from La Rochelle to the station near the zoo, but had to catch a taxi to the zoo itself. The staff was very helpful in keeping my luggage. The zoo featured many creatures you may never see at other zoos. The aviary featured aquatic creatures, fish, and others. The sky tram was excellent since it was 30+ degrees on a September day. There were lots of eateries and misters to keep guests cool. There is a bus that for 3 euros takes you to the local train station and to the one in Blois.
Hello, Thank you very much! 🙂 Your satisfaction is a wonderful reward for our teams! We look forward to welcoming you again at ZooParc de Beauval.

The Most Excellent Zoo we have ever visited in the WORLD
Zoo Beauval has been designed to put the visitor in close proximity to the animals (even the hippopotamus, rhinoceros, grizzly bears, etc). The Bird Show was outstanding !!! The Lunch at the Tropical was very good (like home-made). We appreciated the detailed information regarding the animals on the signs posted at each exhibit, including the date of the newborn animals.
Hello, We are grateful to you for highlighting the beauty of our show, 'Masters of the Skies'! 🦅 Did you know? More than 600 birds gracefully soar above your heads during the performance! Your satisfaction is a wonderful reward for all the teams at the Beauval ZooParc who work tirelessly every day for the well-being of the animals and the comfort of the visitors. Thank you for your visit, and we hope to see you again soon!

    Amazing
Amazing. By far the biggest and bestest zoo I've been too. I went to see the pandas and I'm so happy I did. I stayed at a hotel at the zoo les pagodes beauval. Also amazing. Chinese themed. Wonderful

AMAZING! Can’t wait to go back
The best family holiday!! Absolutely cannot wait to go back. We stayed at Les Jardin de Beauval as got a good deal which was a bonus. The most beautifully kept zoo, amazing animals that seemed well cared for. The manatees and indoor dome was just beyond words, as is the flying birds display-NEVER seen anything like it was truly breathtaking! Take a picnic as the only down is that the food in the zoo is expensive and well below average! The breakfast and dinner at hotel restaurant were good and had a range-Just about enough for a vegetarian.
Dear Louise, Delighted to hear you had the best family holiday at ZooParc de Beauval and Les Jardin de Beauval ! We appreciate your positive feedback ! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and for rating your visit. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. 🐼 Emma P. du ZooParc de Beauval

    The best zoo
Zooparc Beauval is a truely beautiful place, with such rare and exotic animals. All enclosures were clean and viewing was perfect. The animals all looked happy and were highly active. My family travelled from the UK and it was well worth the trip. The cable car is a brilliant way to access areas of the park and in itself a great experience allowing you to see it all from above.

    A must place to visit
Great zoo. First time here. Zoo was very clean and not too busy. Lots of animals to see. Really enjoyed our time here. Zoo is spread out so lots of walking. The cable car gave a great view of the park as well. Loved the pandas.
Hello, Thank you for this pleasant recommendation. We are flattered. We look forward to welcoming you again to ZooParc de Beauval.

    Amazing zoo
Huge zoo park with many interesting animals, especially the pandas. Lots of refreshment stations and toilets. The equatorial dome is astonishing and far better than the Eden Project in the UK; worth the price of admission on its own. Be prepared for a long day and tired feet. Good parking, spotlessly clean and surprisingly allows dogs.

    Fantastic Zoo
Everything about Beauval was first class. To see the Pandas and the Koalas at such close proximity without bars, cages or screens was a real treat. The bird show we attended was simply fantastic. All the animals looked so well cared for.

Great stay, wonderful animals and birds in lovely surroundings
This was our second visit to Beauval and we love the place. The panda twins are special, we've followed them since they were born and the sealions are great fun whether they're performing or not. Underwater acrobats. For us the most special thing was Les Maitres des Airs, the bird ballet like nothing we've ever seen. It's spellbinding. We stayed on site for a night in Les Jardins de Beauval and got two-day tickets for the zoo included in the price.

A very beautiful zoo, comparable to Pairi Daiza in Belgium. Lots of animals and worth it. However, during the Covid-19 period (summer 2020) far too many visitors were admitted in our opinion. A mouth mask is not mandatory in the open air, but there are too many people so you better wear your mouth mask. Not everyone wore them, we did, but we felt uncomfortable. Since we had paid quite a lot for our visit (68 euros), we also did not want to leave the zoo, we rushed through it, wanted to go outside as soon as possible and felt rushed and uncomfortable. We regretted our visit and the money paid for it due to the overcrowd.

We visited on August 4th 2020,or rather we didn’t as i value my life more than a visit to the Zoo.
Unfortunately we booked tickets the evening before as if we hadn’t the after taking one look at the traffic jam from 2 miles out then we would have turned around.
Upon arrival at the parking it was if we were walking to a football match or Glastonbury, yes it was that rammed with people. You could see queues all over the park as you were making your way to the entrance, to be fair everyone was wearing a mask but as you can see from the photo no social distancing at all. This place will be
Responsible for a spike in COVID-19 cases.
Needless to say we left without going in.
Why no number restrictions on visitors I don’t know. UK attractions limit numbers for safety this place couldn’t care less so long as they take the money.

We visited on August the 4th and needless to say we won't be coming back, it's such a shame as from what we saw, the zoo its self is great. They don't consider how many people are visiting at a time, I thought this would be especially important during a pandemic but there was so many people that you couldn't walk down the zoo lanes without pushing through crowds of people. The majority wearing masks but not everyone. We left very soon after entering as it's not worth putting our lives at risk for a zoo! Total waste of €64!

There will be numerous cases of the spread of covid 19 from this zoo alone. 😤

I wouldn't recommend visiting this zoo to anyone during this pandemic.

Zoo has a nice space for each animal to live, but there were many people, difficult to navigate because of not enough of signaletics indicate where i'm now. We had a very good lunch at the buffet, everything is very clean, everywhere hand disinfecting gel and most people outdoors in the masks. However, it was not enough buses going to the zoo from Blois. Despite a crowd of people nobody was pushing each other, everybody trying to be polite. And there were also many newborn animals, we could even have a glimpse at their nursery. I would definitely be back but only when the school holidays are over.

Amazing day out; The Bird show was breathtaking ~ no spoiliers ~ but was very surprising and a must-see if you go to Beauval. The day was jampacked with seeing beautiful animals and birds, especially the Pandas {The decor of "China" area is magical;}! Well worth the visit just to see them; one off my bucket list of seeing a real Panda :) I will definitely visit the Zoo again; the animals are arranged so well; you cannot walk anywhere without seeing something of beauty and the landscaping is awesome. Thoroughly enjoyed our day at Beauval Zooparc. I found no fault with the Parc at all ~ Enjoy!

As Beauval attempts to grow ever larger spare a thought for those who don’t want blocked walkways with perhaps ten percent of the zoo out of action. The idea that Kilimanjaro is your MCD equivalent fails when the prices are too high and the service so slow. Shame as the zoo itself is fabulous

Honestly one of the best Zoos I've been to and I've visited quite a few! Worth a visit.

We went on a wednesday (30th june '21) which was perfect, plenty of people but definately not too crowded and loads of space to walk around in peace. (Only the gift shop was a bit too busy but it was near closing time so no big surprise there.)

I loved the diversity of animals, I don't think I've ever seen so many types of big cats in one Zoo before. But also the spaces the animals live in are amazing. So spacious for the animals to walk/run around in and also very beautifully laid out! If you ask me, this Zoo scored mayor points for that.
The animals seem happy and well cared for. We've seen a lot of baby animals and also quite a few who were busy making new babies which was quite funny.

If you like visiting Zoos, this one is a must.

PS: we spent about 6 hours at the park

This has been voted one of the most beautiful zoos in the world and its true. There are so many animals to see here in a beautiful setting and after 6 hours we had to leave due to the kids being exhausted, but we hadn't seen everything! There is a cable car to cross the park which is brilliant fun, playparks for the children, many restaurants to choose from, a seal show and shops to indulge in. But the best thing about Beauval is the most beautiful and moving bird show that we have ever seen. My husband and I were in tears because it was just so beautiful to watch. Unfortunately it's only in French so for non French speakers you miss the information they're giving you, but you can still rebel in the beauty of it.

You get the really strong impression that the owner's view is "the more animals the better". I'd have had a much nicer day seeing fewer animals in nicer spaces, and wouldn't have had to say "can we keep walking, that's making me sad" looking at big cats in tiny spaces. Some of the decisions just didn't make sense to me, anteaters in a beautiful big space but right next to panthers sharing a tiny cage?
A heavy emphasis on "look at this beautiful white lion/tiger/crocodile isn't it magical" is also unnerving for me as deliberate leucism in zoos is quite controversial and pretty widely regarded as inbreeding, bad for health and contributing nothing to conservation or education.

However, on the plus side! The bird show was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, all of the staff on tills were lovely and patient with me, we saw lots of keepers that clearly loved and cared for their animals and I did see species I've never seen before which was very interesting.

If you're visiting from abroad I really wouldn't recommend going at all. Take the 60 quid and spread it between smaller zoos where the animals are the priority and the crowds aren't horrendous and you'll have a better time.

Greatings bethellerby, We thank you for taking the time to share your impressions following your visit to our establishment and regret that the space reserved for our residents did not meet your expectations. The species present in our park have facilities designed to meet their physiological needs. Every year, repair and expansion work takes place and many works were carried out last winter when the ZooParc was closed: new infrastructure for gorillas, pandas, new aviaries in the historic part, and many more to offer even more well-being and comfort to our residents. Unfortunately, not everything can be achieved in a single year. Currently, each animal can evolve according to its preferences inside or outside in spaces designed for them. Their needs differ when they are in a zoo. They do not, for example, have to fear an attack from predators and do not need as much space as in the wild in order to search for their food. However, everything is done to preserve their animal instinct. Thus, the trainers carry out what are called enrichments which allow the animals to seek their food as they would in the wild. Each space is designed accordingly to the needs of the species. We assure you of our entire and total dedication to the animal cause and the well-being of our residents. In an ongoing effort to improve the quality of our services, we will not fail to raise this point raised. Thank you for sharing your comments which help us improve our services.
