If you really want to see the beauty of this place come after monsoon so you can see both the falls of this area. I came this place last year, that time you had to cross the river thrice to reach to last point where the fall is now they have made small pulls to reach which I personally believe have made the real fun lower then I expected. If you want to go for a swim make sure you wear a life jacket because it’s too deep, and avoid going under the fall .

Given the road it is on, the falls get a surprising amount of traffic. Recently the local govt added a fee counter (Rs. 50 per head) and the falls are a 1.2 km hike from the parking lot. There are many small private food/refreshment joints en route, where you can get tea or coffee (prepared from fresh mountain spring water), colas, fruit juices, noodles, biscuits. Also many wash rooms and changing rooms. The collected fee is used to ensure that the entire area is kept clean in spite of the heavy traffic and commercial activities. The falls are 56' high and the swimming hole at its base is 40' deep. The part of the pool beyond wading depth is roped off, and accessible only for those wearing life vests (available for rent on the spot for Rs. 100).

Secluded waterfalls and a nice short trek to reach it. We were lucky to visit it when there was no crowd. Very peaceful place. On our way back, we saw many tourists heading for the place. So, time your visit properly if you want to avoid the crowds.

Beautiful place. We reached the place after a short trek. This was my second visit to the falls. Based on my limited experience, plan a visit in the months after monsoons, when the rains are still not completely gone. The place is most beautiful then and there are no crowds at that time. Carry some snacks with you but please don't litter. Some idiots have left behind packets of chips there but please don't follow in their footsteps. This is a beautiful place, keep it clean.

Must do thing (or only thing) to do in Mukteshwar. It’s 1.5 km trek to the waterfall. It’s a well maintained path; I went with 8 year old child and had no problem coming and going. The path is beautiful and and the water is also clean.

This was a 1200mt trek that went up and down the mountain edge, lined with tall trees, on varied type of paths - rocky, muddy, cemented, wide or narrow. The stream has to be crossed thrice. There are 2 waterfalls - first one at about 500m - you can stand under the falls here & the second one at the end, where you can swim a bit - water is 40 ft deep. Beautiful landscape with mountainous jungle amidst the sound of the gushing water.

The visit will at least take a couple of hours if you wish to enjoy it well, along with a cup of water or Maggi in the stream.

Fitness level required is medium. Shoes & socks will get wet for sure. Recommend carrying a bottle of water.

The water fall is a 45 minute drive from Mukteshwar. The road is fairly good and the scenic beauty en route is very nice.
Ample parking facility is available which is not a concern.
There is officially no entrance fee to the site but the locals charge you Rs 50 per person as entry which they claim to spend on girl child education and maintainence of the site. This payment is mandatory.
One needs to walk 1200 metres on a relatively slippery track and thru waters to reach the fall. Visitors please consider this when you travel.

The trip to these water falls are a bit of an adventure since you have to cross three streams - walk through the waters - to reach them. The path is under-construction, so don’t expect the smoothest way. But if you’re looking for some thrill to be rewarded by awesome views, do visit the place. Also, try Maggi sitting in the midst of the stream! Absolutely stunning falls & fun experience. Avoid on a rainy day.
