Though the places of worship are better left to faith, however it is a nice place like no other. It looks very European in architecture, however it is very Indian in realization.

Situated at a convenient distance from Delhi, it is definitely a place worth visiting. Serene campus, good vibes and an architectural sight.

The church, is spread in a large area, with Mango garden all around. The visit to church is spectacular, and inside the Church, lively statues are there, which will leave you spellbound.

Had visited the bascillica located around 15 kms from Meerut city, had taken a bus from Begum Bridge to Sardana. You will have to ask the driver/conductor to drop you at a location from where you can take a rickshaw to the Church, the rickshaw charges around Rs 20 though if you are in a group the distance is walkable. The architecture of the church and the statutes in the campus is amazing. The campus is huge. A perfect picnic stop in winters.

The church in Sardhana was built in 1822 by Begum Samru (a local queen) the only catholic ruler king in India .
The world" Basilica" is associated with only only few churches based upon their beauty, historical importance and some other considerations.
There are only 21 Basilica in India (largest No in Asia) and 17 of them are Roman Catholic.
In December 1961, Pope John XXIII conferred the dignity of Minor Basilica to the church, now known as Basilica of Our Lady of Graces. This dignity is given only on churches that are both beautiful and historically famous.[
The church is located in a erstwhile capital but now a small town which is about 20 km from Meerut.
A very calm and quite place, visited by tourists in large number and also by pilgrims .
The faithful believe in some magical powers of church.
A must visit beautiful place
