The main attraction, other than the view on Kanchenjunga
There are many diff falls.
U can see the falls from the road, then when U climb up U see another waterfall.
Still further up the steps is yet another, one better than the other!

A short climb up past a few stalls selling tea, hot choley, chocolates and packed snacks takes one to the base of the falls. Up there two girls were scurrying around in the water catching little inch-long fish. Then there were a few monkeys clambering around at the top of the falls, dislodging rocks. So we scurried for cover! Nice place to stop at for half an hour. There was pay per use restroom 20 meters away too.

An excellent place to visit in Pelling. Just about 45 mins drive from Pelling, this place is good enough for one to spend about an hour's time. The first look of the falls can be misleading or not very impressive. This is because the waterfalls has two streams of falls, the first one being narrower and the second one being the higher and wider one. The local people help in crossing of the water stream to reach the waterfalls. They later accept whatever money is offered to them. Once near the waterfall, one can feel the power of the water hitting the ground below. An ideal place for photography and one cannot escape or help being wet. Overall a nice place to spend time in Pelling. A must visit place.

the long drive from Peling, the curves and broken road (partly resurface) is worth the drive.you need to take a few steep steps to reach the fall. once there it is worth the drive and the steep steps. the fall is strong and a perfect location for some good pictures with the fall as a background. can you stand under the fall? no for sure!!! can you stand near to the fall and sprinkle your self with water ...surely yes!

Location: West Sikkim, roughly 20 Kms from Pelling. Can be visited as a part of pelling local sight seeing trip.
The Kanchenjunga Falls is a leading tourist spot in Pelling and is attractive through out the year with its lush green surroundings and the high falling water flow. There is a small pathway leading to the waterfalls location from the main road. The path is a bit slippery during rains and hence one needs to be careful. The place where the falling water accumulates is detached from the pathway and one needs to hop some stones to reach the spot. Local people are helpful in this regard.
Overall, the place is beautiful with the rumbling noise of the high flowing water. There are number of food vendors serving hot beverages and snacks.
I visited the place during April 2012.

Best waterfall visited in Pelling. Not sure, around 20-30 KM away from Pelling, you get to see this waterfall. As you go near, you feel more refreshed! You get local people help for crossing over the water and go nearer to the start of the fall. It must be much more beautiful during rainy season. The running water is crystal clear and you can see thru the same. I personally liked it and since water was bit less, my son enjoyed walking thru the water on stones.. great feeling!

The natural beauty of this place is indeed remarkable. The source of the water coming from hill top at a full pace and covering a good area is indeed something to remember.

This is the best place in Pelling to visit...The speed of water fall was so high that we were feeling a force backward even i was standing 10 ft away. It was awesome or i should say thrill with amaze. local people are there to help you and then they ask for some money too but thats okay as there is no charge/fee and they are helping everyone to go near waterfall. Have tea there with that noise of falling water...JUST AWESOME...!!!

hi frnds, need one suggetion.. can we get share car form Pelling to Njp? how much will cost for a small car?
Written 16 December 2017
Hey, last time I had checked, You can hire a taxi outside NJP station to pelling, guessing the cost is between 3000-4000 (tentatively) so assuming you take it on sharing basis, it can cost you something between 500-700. I am not too sure about, From pelling to NJP, but you can easily get shared cab from pelling to siliguri.

There is no best time as such. Depends on what you want. I personally do not like too many people so always visit hill stations in off season. We went in January. It was bitterly cold but the Kanchenjunga was majestic in all it’s glory. All the places were deserted and we got very good bargain on hotels and car rentals. They will treat you like kings and queens in off season. Anyways it’s down to personal preference. If you have children or aged people with you then I guess April to June is the safe season.
