The only difficult thing is travelling in hilly roads.Once you reach the destination it will make you forget all the worries of life and enjoy the freezing atmosphere. Best time to visit is from November to April. You have to pay additional 3k for vehicle over and above the cost paid to travel agent.

This is the last point of the Yumthang Valley. The road will end here, thats why it is called as Zero point. It is about 15KM away from Yumthang valley. One can see mountains and frozen river during winter at this place. Journey from Yumthang valley to Zero point is awesome. Tip:Usually jeep drivers take us to Yumthang valley only.... More

Last point of travel and the road ends leaving one to think that they want to walk ahead and get captured in nature. We were the two souls and our driver at Zero Point and it was well below -10 degrees. WOW !! The landscape is beautiful, the frozen river is a great place to walk. The mountains full of... More

A spectacular large stony valley surrounded by more or less icy peaks at an altitude of 15,300 ft. approx. It's obviously a matter to reach a place of 6500 ft higher only in three hours. I just felt going out of sense at the temperature probably in minus with a strong wind. Water of the small river flowing beside was... More

Place is awesome and ideal for couples to play with snow and ice for longer period of time. Lot of tourist around. Prepare yourself with snow boot, gloves and other accessories to make your trip memorable.

You get breathtaking views of mountains when you go to zero point from Lachung via Yumthang Valley. This is the last point you can reach as after that it is China border a few kilometers. Temperature can be quite low depending upon when you go but it is an experience you do not want to miss.

A snow covered place which is another treat to eyes. Permit is needed to visit which is issued in Gangtok. Not recommended for elderly, orthopedic people. It is accessible only to Indian nationals. Do remember to carry enough woolens, leather boots are much needed here which can be taken on rent from the shops based in Yamthung valley. Even in... More

We visited this place on 24th December 2016 and to our surprise we got very little of snow.although the presence of snow was alluring for those who havent seen earlier but my visit to Rhotang Pass has served my purpose of snow earlier so i expected more snow over here. During heavy snow the roads remains closed to zero point... More
