Yercaud is good place for very short trip.
1. Don't forget to visit to Servarayan hills especially early morning .
2. Ladies seat, Gent's seat and children seat. All three are just 2/3 min walkable distance.
3. Pagoda point is similar like above where you can have valley and city view.
4. For food, please go to Selvam hotel. very old hotel but the foods are really taste like home food . For lunch don't forget to have chicken biriyani and meals with Fish fry. For dinner you can taste parotta with chicken gravy is nice.
5. Rose garden is closed due to covid restrictions.
6. Around the lake you can find lots of small shops where you can taste chilly bajji.
7. You can purchase Black pepper and coffee. You can get help at Hotel Selvam, they will organise if you require and suggest where to buy for good quality.
8. As well you can buy original perfume and herbal products at perfume factory Mr.Ramesh Singh.( On the way to Servarayan hills) landmark Maruthi 800 will stood in front of their house and office.
Have a happy and safety vacation.

Nice and peaceful location. Thrilling 20 hairpin bends named using historical persons of India. The violet flowers are a feast to watch. We visited Peeku Park, Servaroyan temple, Pagoda park and Lake

It is a small and amazing place. Since it is very close to Bangalore we decided to do it in one day. We loved the park, lake and waterfall here.
This is a place which can be explored in one day from Bangalore. Most of the places here have free parking and food is reasonably decent in taste as well as in price. You will find alots of small road side shops for tea and snacks must try them.
Day Trip To Yercaud.
We had a day for a short trip from Bangalore, so we decided to do a short trip to Yercaud, Tamil Nadu.
It was an amazing place to visit when you have just one day from Bangalore. Highway is smooth enough to go fast as possibly you can, make sure you don't kill your self. Its not a crowed place and can be easy roam around. Must visit place is Kiliyur falls one of most visited place in Yercaud. Try to reach early to get good pictures and easily enjoy the place. Then Amma Garden is also good for photography and opposite to Amma garden big lake is located for boating and just roam around.
Even on the way from where hills starts is also an amazingly scenic drive. 32 Kms of stretch is amazingly beautiful in its own way. There are few small water falls on the way to hill top.
A must visit place from Bangalore at least once. It can be a one day drip of just a weekend trip.
Enjoy the trip and Keep travelling and Keep Exploring

We travelled from Chennai to yercaud via the Salem way. The driving was ok. But is would still say it's very dangerous to drive up the hill at few hair pin bends due to the poor construction of roads and no safety rails. The temperature is very hot in the afternoon, doesn't felt like a hill station. We stayed at golden nest another horrible place to stay. If you are reading this, better to avoid this place to stay. We planned for 2 nights, due to the temperature, traffic, crowd, no proper hotel to even eat, and decided to finish the trip with one night stay. Very bad experience... Overall 1/10.

Yercaud is a serene little place. Unlike Ooty or Kodai, Yercaud settles down by 7 PM itself. Less crowd is best thing about Yercaud. There is seasonal falls named 'Kiliyur falls' which fills the trekking space. Tourist spots are not as grand as bigger/higher hills but Yercaud is great place to sit and savour calmness of hills.

For better experiences, plan a non peak time and favourable weather. Hotels are spread out in all directions, remote locations etc. one need to plan it based on their preferences. 2-3 days would be ideal for an unwind. If u you it can afford, some of the hotels give great views of the valley. Attractions are basic expect for couple of view points. In short you can visit Yercaud for the weather and views and the easy accessibility.

A place full of sight seeing and mountain view. Misty places around yercaud. Lovely hotels and resorts to stay and enjoy climatic condition. Season time between October to January would be more cool and lovely to Spend time.

Yercaud is a sought-after hill station by folks from surrounding areas. It has the usual frills - a nice lake, good view points, restaurants and hotels aplenty et al. Good for a visit.

There is nothing much to do in Yercaud. But 3 things one should not miss:
(a) If going from Bangalore, take Bommidi route instead of the regular Salem route. I found this drive to Yercaud more worthy than being in Yercaud itself. It has 2 ghat sections of hairpin curves offering great views (the first one after Bommidi is a bad patch, but enjoyable).
(b) The 32 km loop in a slow drive basking in the place and its unassuming beauty
(c) Have meal from Sweet Rascal : One need to go there and place the order in advance of 3 hrs at least. I would rate 5 for the concept, experience and ambience and 4 for the food

The boat rides in the lake are fun. You can use a pedal boat or an oar boat or a motor boat.
The Piku Park is a fun place to feed birds. The ostriches are a beautiful sight. However, the entrance fees are too steep.
Kaveri Peak is an old coffee estate. There is conducted tour around the plantation where the entire process of making coffee is explained.
Eventhough Yetcaud is a hill station it is very hot in May. The sun is very sharp so carry your sunscreen.

I suggest Madurai, as it has so many aspects that would satisfy the taste of all, be it from food, shopping, temples, street markets, etc. Halls will also be relatively affordable in Madurai. Transportation is very good as well, as we have road, rail and air connectivity.
