We visited Rourkela and stayed overnight in a hotel.next day evening had to visit relatives. So in morning hours visited Ved Vyas which was some 8kms from hotel. Vedvyas is the place where Ved Vyas Muniji sat down to write the FOUR Vedas.

At a very good location, 2 rivers - KOEL and SHANKHA from two different sides are meeting here to form a big river BRAHAMANI. scenic view is beautiful..

It is said that Maharshi Vyas wrote Mahabharata at this spot. The temple itself is situated at small hillock. It is located at the confluence of Koel and Sankha rivers offers a beautiful view .

Many temples are there in vedavyas on the bank of river brahmani ,like mata saraswati ,lord shiv.so its like many temples are situateded inside vedvyas temple like Brahmani river(Sankh,Koyel,Saraswati).

This the place where Mahabharat was written. A huge Vedavyasa Fair (Mela) hosted here every year in the Eve of Sivaratri & lasted for 14 days. People used to come in huge no's...

i like the temple...i became a great fan of this temple..its natural..but something like cleanliness is missing no0t much but also it should be done rgularly

Beautiful look. Like a small hill station and many temples are there inside this. Vedavyas temple is situated besides to the river Brahmin(historically this is the birth point of this river,same like kanyakumari,like triangular river view),in the city of rourkela, Vedavyas. Near to panposh.
