In my itinerary, Dilijan was described as "Armenian Switzerland" . . . give me a break ! Somehow, I was meant to walk this Alpine Wonderland for an hour, but I had enough after 20 boring minutes. No, thank you, Armenia has so much more and better to offer.

This street is so small, when you walk to fast you miss it. Not much to see but that goes for most of Dilidzjan. Don't bother to visit unless you are in Dilidzjan

This street is flanked by traditional buildings that were erected to preserve the old character of this small town.
A quick walk will do the trick.

At the very heart of Dilijan, you will find "Sharambeyan Street" - a real trip back into 19th century's Armenia. Well preserved and maintained traditional old houses, built with stones and wood, bring magic to Dilijan - a city surrounded by a National Park and locally known as "Little Switzerland". At old "Sharambeyan Street", artists and crafstmen's workshops, galleries, souvenir shops, cafés, hotels and a museum complete the scene. A quick visit and keep going ... There is still much to visit around romantic Dilijan! Enjoy!

A hundred meter long street with 3 old houses.
They have souvenir shops with regular stuff.
Visit only if you have other plans in the area.
Does not worth the turn!!!

We visited dilijan and Sharamneyan street as a.part of our tour itinerary. A heritage site very calm small city with bare necessities like ceramic shop woodsmith restaurant art sovenier. We found beautiful girls making paintings who politely refused to be photographed. Shopkeepers were not very interested to sell their goods.enjoyed some food in restaurant that is on main Street.

Why guides stop here?
We got out for “photos opportunity” but not really an opportunity! I would have gladly skipped the stop...driving true is good enough!
