It locally known as chamunda tekri means hill ! the place is a shaktipeeth and drops of blood of Mata Sati has fallen here !! the most delightful thing is its tourism touch as it is on a hill with great view of city !!

the place is accessed by two ways !! one with 350 steps, this route is old and difficult comparatively and other and new one is plane or slope way !! its less then one km and took less than 30mins up and 15mins down !!

the place has two temples !! Tuljabhawani Temple and Chamunda Temple
Tuljabhawani is big sister and chamunda bhawani is little sister !

In slope way first darshan is of Tuljabhwani devi !! he visited in morning and there was a light rush and we had great darshans !! after darshans of Tuljabhawani we head towards chamunda temple on the way their are many big small temples then we visited chamunda devi temple and had amazing darshans !! this place is shaktipeeth and mata changes roop three times !! during morning mata looks fresh up like new born then like young then in evening old !!
Pan is loved by mata and is served by many

dewas us too hot place in summers and 30mins walking is sometimes trouble but after darshans we became twice fresh as before
>>slope route<<
**Slope way->Entry->Tulja bhwani devi->many other temples-> chamunda temple->Exit**

The temple of Maa chamunda is situated on a hilltop in Dewas. There is another temple of Goddess Tulajabhavani also. First we visited this temple and then walked for Chamunda Mandir. You have to climb 350 step and it was rather difficult for us in summer of April,2015.But when got darshan of Goddess Chamunda, all tireness was disappeared. From this hill stop there is a nice ariel view of Dewas. Here, in temple, devotee also offer pan to mata. Jay Maa Chamunda.

Maa Chamunda Devi Temple is one of the renowned Shakti mandir of Maa Durga. Maa chamunda is also known as chamundeshwari, the Hindu divine mother. Maa Kali, as per Devi mahatmaya, killed chand and mund demons and thus Maa Kali receive name as Maa Chamunda. The main shrine if Maa Chamunda Devi is adored by the images of Lord Bhairav and Lord Hanuman on its sides.Actually theses Lords are considered as the guards of the goddess.

Temple is situated in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh around 10 kms from west of Palampur and 23 kns from kangra city. Temple is well connected by Road from kangra city from Palampur (Himachal Pradesh) and pathankot (Punjab). Temple is situated at a beautiful location amid beautiful mountains and green scenery. The environment is best suited for meditation by devotees.

Maa Chamunda bless and fulfill wishes of the devotees. By grace of Goddess Chamunda Devi , devotees feel like coming again and again to seek blessings from Maa Chamunda Devi ji.

I was on a business trip to Dewas... the business friends accompanying knew a local businessman who is a hotelier and also owns the 'Cable Car' towards Maa Chamunda Devi Temple. When we visited his office at Dewas, he immediately expressed us to extend him with a privilege of taking us for a visit to the shrine atop a hill. Considering the offer as a blissful opportunity we accompanied him in his cable car. Although that the hill top equates an altitude approximating the Mansa Devi temple at Hardwar; yet the experience within a small vestibule of the cable car was a great experience. The small vestibule can contain only 4 persons and it slides upward in a gentle manner while displaying the plain green fields spread beneath.

There are two temples atop the hill. One temple is of Lord Hanuman and the another is of Maa Chamunda Devi. Both the temples are placed as two ends of a semi circle on that hill. The experience especially at Chamunda Devi temple was full of powerful vibrations since the shrine is encased within a small cave like abode.

Our host informed us that the shrine is charged on account of powerful vibrations left by a great sage who stayed over there for a long period. The sage was a reservoir of several paranormal powers and the local monarchs withstand the testimony of their experiences with that great sage. It is known that the sage disappeared from Dewas and the only moment when his name surfaced was... when his Samadhi was noticed at Rishikesh.

We returned with a great experience that was not our objective of that short visit.

One of the must reach out places in Dewas town. Famous as 'Tekri' amongst the locals, there are two temples on the hill. One is Tulja Bhavani and other is Chamunda Mata. Mere worshiping here will fulfill all your wishes and will give you peace and satisfaction in life. From the top of hill, you can have a bird's eye view of beautiful landscape of Dewas town. All basic amenities are available at Tekri.

I am regular visitor of Chamunda maa temple. It is located on a hill called "tekri". To reach there you have to climb more than 300 stairs. There is also an another way to reach temple by slop, by this way your vehicle 2/3/4 wheeler can go till temple.

There you will find relief and a spiritual touch over there. From this temple you can see a very nice view of whole DEWAS city.
I recommend to go in early morning to get beautiful view. Nice place for photography.

In navratri temple board organize a mela for 9 days and thousands of people comes this shakti peeth for darshan.
