The village of Bhavali is situated about 15-20 minutes off the Mumbai-Nasik Highway in Igatpuri. This would therefore be about an hour and a quarter from Nashik.
The moment you enter the village, you enter Heaven on Earth. And that is that. The entrance to the village is a light climb up a hill, with some super pretty waterfalls on the side. And to top that off, some beautiful faces selling some equally beautiful local flowers. As you go deeper, you realize that the place is simply resplendent with natural beauty, a waterfall every half a kilometer, super pretty views of the dam, lots and lots of natural streams and water gushing all around, lush greenery and clean air. Keep going on and on, and you keep getting more and more of that beauty all around. Sheer virgin natural beauty. The best time to visit the place has to be the monsoons, and we were blessed to do so. Serenity and peace, all around.
The place seems to have suddenly picked up with tourists, and we hope that this doesn’t end up like many of those places in Lonavala with plastic and anarchy all around. Already, some of the most picturesque locations have swarms of plastic floating around, which is a real pity. I just hope people learn quickly, and start following nature friendly practices, and carry their plastic home.
For people who do care, this is a must visit.

Talk about a peaceful place and this can be counted as 1 of them. Its a small lake near igatpuri, close to the mumbai nashik highway. Easily locatable on google maps. The water is clean and not much crowd as well. You can relax with your closed ones. Pls note you get nothing to eat there and is also recommended not to litter around. Mid day temperature feels harsh so be careful.

A beautiful 3-layered fall just a couple of miles from NH 160. Its flanked by the Darna River on the other side of the road. Due to covid norms, u can't get close. But u can still stop your vehicle and click a few snaps. Also another 2 min drive further ahead is another waterfall which is spelt 'Bhavli' on the map is equally beautiful if not more.

Must visit for amazing waterfalls and views. However no amenities like good hotels or toilets. The lake views are also nice. Check the dam site also which a bit offroad but nice views from there.

Bhavali dam is located in igatpuri. Which is a weekend gateway for mumbaikers.
This place is so peaceful that you can literally hear the silence.
To run out from the weekdays' stress, this place is just perfect for staycation with your friends and loved ones.

Don't know right now as rainfall was intense since many days... it should be safe, if not entered to close to it...

Hi,
Me and some of my friends are planning to go for camping this weekend. We read really awesome reviews about bhavali dam.
Can some one let us know how to reach there? Do we require special permission to set up our tents? And what about food arrangements? Is it made available by the local people or we would have to carry food on our own.
Really looking forward to seek answers for the above questions. Thanks in advance

Well it s a beautiful place. To reach there you need take the mumbai nasik highway . It is located in a small village called Pimpri. It a small road so once you have done with the Ghats keep track for the Sign board or you can ask any local. You will have to carry some food, though there is a village close by., There are a few resorts as well there.
