Maa chintpoorni shaktipeeth is well managed, specially for senior citizens. Senior citizens may take the facility of sugam darshan by paying Rs50 to mandir trust, which is just opp bus stand. This sugam darshan included golf cart ride to the temple and back.

Very good arraments. Mandir complex is very neat n clean.

i went to una, himachal pradesh for the first time in august 2006, to visit chintpurni temple for my cousins mundan, and i was astonished by its beauty, i never expected a spiritual place like that to be so beautiful. we reached there at around 7 in the evening and were checking in the rooms, the view you get from the hotel is simply superb, as the hotel was on the way to the temple, its the best place to stay, we actually booked the complete hotel, in the evening with bonfire , we had pakoras and chai in the hotel lobby enjoying every bit of the beautiful nature , i had never seen anything like this ever in my life before, the next morning we all got ready for our visit to the temple, we reached the temple in around 30 minutes, then we did darshan there, and returned back to our hotel , on the same day in the afternoon we went around for some side seeing, and it was brilliant, the greenery , the mountains, the smell , its just amazing, after spending a couple of days there we left for delhi, it was one of the best experiences of my life, actually a spiritual holiday turned out to be an actual enjoyable holiday for me.

Visit Dharamshala and Dalai lama place in the upper part of town called McLeodganj. There are Maa thirath on the way. A long drive from Delhi - Chandigarh - Chintpurni is 420 km. While from Chandigarh, Chintpurni is 150 km. To Kangra Devi, about 55 kM from chintpurni maa, Jwaliji is on the way. while Naina Devi is 115 Km from Chintpurni.

Pandit Mai Das, a Saraswat Brahman, is generally believed to have established this shrine of Mata Chintpurni Devi in Chhaproh village in the ancient times. Over the time this place became known as Chintpurni after the eponymous deity. When Lord Vishnu cut up the body of Sati into 51 pieces so that Lord Shiva would calm down, the pieces were scattered over various places in the Indian subcontinent. It is believed that parts of Sati’s Forehead fell at this place and is thus considered one of the most important of the 51peeth.

A round trip from Pathankot to chandigarh with Palampur-Yol-Dharamshala and temples of Maa gives good views of Dhauladhar ranges as well as Army Cantt areas.

Jai Matadi................................................................................... The temple dedicated to Mata Chintpurni Devi is located in District Una of Himachal Pradesh. Mata Chintpurni Devi is also known as Mata Shri Chhinnamastika Devi.

Devotees have been visiting this Shaktipeeth for centuries to pray at the lotus feet of Mata Shri Chhinnamastika Devi.

They bring with them their worldly concerns and seek blessings from the Devi.

It is believed that if you ask something from the Devi with a true heart, your wish will be granted.

Apart from the holy shrine, according to Manav Bhardwaj, the place is full of picturesque surroundings. Some very nice places for sight seeing, indoor and out door activities are situated in and around Chintpurni. Chintpurni is very well connected through roads and with good number of hotels and dharamsalas erceted in and around chintpurni, accommodation is not a problem at all. You can come here for religious visit, on a holiday or for both, you would enjoy your time there and should return with everlasting memories.

Twenty six generations later, his descendants continue to offer worship to Shri Chintpurni Devi. The forest has more or less disappeared and the area has become more settled. Although the village is still called Chhaproh in government land records, it is generally known as Chintpurni after the Devi who resides there.

Tales about the miraculous powers of the Devi have spread far and wide. Thousand of devotees visit the temple every year and particularly so during the Navaratras in Shravan (August), Kartik (October) and Chaitra (March-April). Sankranti, Purnima and Ashtami are the other popular days.

A wonderful place, closer of all the Devi Temples in Himachal Pradesh to the Punjab, where I went from. About 2.5 hours drive from Punjab, winding mountain roads, many other pilgrims line the roads, nice hill towns and stations along the way. Make sure you get a ticket at the foot of the stairs when the walk way becomes straight instead of a climb, you may need to show this later. Aarti at midday so try to coincide with that if possible, doors open about 12.10pm. Very rushed, very crowded, no orderly queue so be prepared to push and be pushed. No photos allowed and police presence is heavy so don't clown around. Try buying the chunni offering from elsewhere, these things are always expensive at places like this. And yes, my wishes and prayers did come true!

I visited Maa Chintapurni temple with my wife in month of September, to took blessings of Maa. It was a very nice visit.
You can reach Maa Chintapurni temple using Railways. From Delhi take overnight train to AMB ANDURA (AADR) and temple is only 25km from this station.
There are lots of hotels and Dharamshalas to spend night, in case you wish to spend. Darshan will take 1-3 hours depending upon the crowd strenght. Line is well maintained by staff and you can buy all necessary things on the way to temple.
Food is no problem there.
Jai Mata Di, may Maa Chintapunrni bring lots of happiness in everyone's life.

This is one of the 51 shaktipeeth temple of Godess Durga. Very closed to Jalandhar & Hoshiarpur in Punjab, gets really crowded on weekends. The temple is uphill, you need to walk a little & Maa Chintpurni will fulfill all your wishes.

Experience local Poori-Sabzi & Halwa - the typical punjabi food & buy sundry items for your kids, which you might not find in your city. There are lot of budget hotels in case you happen to stay overnight on your way!
