The hot springs could have been a very good place as the warm water gives a real relaxing feeling but the obnoxious habit of linking everything to religion and the prevalence of men everywhere makes it very uncomfortable for women. First and foremost, there is a fake pandit standing at the entrance forcing everyone to offer puja before entering the spring which is absolutely ridiculous. Next all spring taps have men bathing, which makes it impossible for women to bathe there. Even the Brahmakund is filled with men and they are gloriuosly bathing away for hours inconsiderate of the women folk trying to get a feel of the warm water. Most women are just putting some water on their head and walking away out of shyness. When we entered the water, these men were gawking at us. Obviously, they have never seen women bathe from so close. Uncivilized as they were, no one had the basic courtesy to leave the water for a while as they had already been there for must be hours. There is a changing room for women which has no light and was smelling profusely of urine. It was evident that women did not bathe and so the changing room had become a toilet. Bihar tourism is at its worst here. Women please don't go.

I visited the Rajgir Nature Safari and the experience was terrible. I don't recommend anyone goes there. First, the online ticket booking for entry + glass bridge did not work, and I had to call/whatsapp, pay on some other number and only then did I get the ticket. (2) No queue discipline. A family belonging to Forest Deptt. was allowed to enter ahead of everyone else. Symptomatic of the rampant corruption that exists in Bihar. (3) You have to show your ticket at least 10 times at various points. (4) No slot management. I had a slot of 10-11am and I found people of later slots standing in the queue. Thus the queue was very long and we had to wait 2 hours in a line to get to the glass bridge. (5) At the end, the glass bridge is small and nothing remarkable about it.
What a pity! We can spend crores on the infrastructure but mismanagement will take it to dust.

The hot springs in Rajgir is a place where religious beliefs come alive. The springs, which are warmed by the sulpher base are believed to be medicinal and a lot of people collect the water here to take it home. It is also a religious site for the Buddhists and Hindus as well. Steer clear of the priests. Just have a look, wet your feet and leave.

Locals say if you are suffering from body ache or physical problem. A bath in hot spring may cure.
Usually crowded. Separate for females and males. Food, water available. Mode of transport horse cart or walking. As locals have union to use horse cart no private taxis.

Was skeptical about the very idea of taking a dip in the public place in the hot Spring. However, good that we did. Most amazing experience and felt vibrant and refreshed. There are large number of Pandas who will try to fleece you with religious mumbojumbo. Just pick one and pay him only , he will take care of your safety, security of belongings, open the lock of a small changing room and do a little Puja also. Do not miss this experience. You will be surprised. The water was real hot and yet so cool. Photography not allowed. Best to keep all belongings in the car itself

The water is warm and good but the area is dirty and not maintained properly. Though there are separate seven mouths of Spring but no separate place for women to bathe. People with no etiquette bangs where women are getting the shower. No changing rooms available for men and the doors of changing room for women kept ajar.

It was dirty, over crowded and BO of people milling around is overwhelming. Unless some compulsion to take a dip, it's a waste of time. Parking is over priced and the place is teeming with beggars too.

Yes, it is a crowded place, yes, it is dirty, and yes, at times it feels that one should stay away from the Hot Springs. But you cannot miss the opportunity of a lifetime ! A hot bath with water flowing over a sulphur layer is an awesome experience and believe me, even in January, I did not feel cold ! A must for anyone visiting Rajgir.
