I visited this place twice in 2019. It is a beautiful place. Maredumili is situated between the thick forests. However, maintenance is not up to mark. Locals and the Visitors should take care of the place. We saw people throwing garbages, plastics, disposable plates, cups here and there beside roads and forests. This should not be done. Some drunkards were also been seen making it unsafe for families. People should be careful near waterfalls. However, the two waterfalls - Jalatarangini and Amruthdhara will disappoint you. Bamboo chicken or Bamboo biryani is a good dish to taste, if properly cooked. However, not all vendors / hotels will serve you tasty bamboo chicken/biryani. Some vendors don't know how to cook tasty bamboo chicken and they are doing it for business only. If you get it from good dhaba / hotel, you will enjoy it.

Bluemoon eco resort was an excellent choice. Jagdeesh and satish made sure our family of 22 was taken care of completely. Placed just beside the water stream was a combination of nature and accessibility. Absolutely safe for families with dogs always keeping a watch and birds keeping you company. We did rafting with kids and the swing on the stream was lovely. Food was enjoyable.

We went during this winter n spent a day there.
It's quite refreshing.
Wat you get: Ghat roads to drive , cool weather, water falls, fresh air, peaceful environment.
Those who want to disconnect with bloody corporate life for a while it's a must try.
Just pack your bags, go to rajahmundry, from there you can take a bike or car. Book a resort at maredumilli. Have fun

This is 90kms far from Rajahmundry and one of the nearby getaway points. It is located in thick forest area and the waterfalls are good to enjoy. We visited this place during March end...and to our surprise, the water streams were quite good and we played and enjoyed really well. Best time to visit this place is post the monsoon (september/october) we were told. Neverthless, we enjoyed this location and waterfalls.

Located in deep forest area of Eastern Ghats quiet away from the urban concrete jungle, Maredumalli nestled in green nature's lap.
All the way from Rajahmundry to Maredumalli is natural scenic beauty.
After reaching Maredumalli, first order the food in local restaurants. Bamboo chicken and Bamboo Biriyani which are cooked in local tribal recipe is worth tasting. Preparing the food will take sometime mean while we can complete the local site seeing at Jala Tharangini, Pamelluru canal etc.
Location is very remote and don't have any cellular network. Proper planning is required before reaching so that trip can be enjoyed.

we travelled in our car from Bhadrachalam to Maredumilli waterfalls which we experienced life time happiness on that road. really wonderful road with so much greenery on sideways.
After visiting waterfalls, one must enjoy bamboo chicken over there. its worth visiting there.
we booked vana vihari guest house and spend a splendid night in between the peaceful nature.

Heard and expected a lot in Maredumilli..but totally disappointed ...Bamboo chicken which we heard was worst part..They are simply doing business ...Bamboo biryani costs 300Rs..our dum biryani is much better than this..AP Tourism not keeping minimum maintainance..No sign boards at all..There is a Jalatarangani water falls..AP tourisim charging 20rs per head..road side canals have more flow than these water falls..No washrooms available for public

my feeling is its always better to go to a waterfall after monsoon so that one can enjoy greenery and good water flow.
Written 3 June 2019
Hi, if we go there in March ending or early April, will there be any water streams falling (because it's almost summer starting hence the doubt)
Written 30 January 2019
Frankly, water is not much there and hence if you want to see just water-fall you might be disappointed in summer.
It's the thick forest and greenery that is more unique in that place

Can you please guide me on which cottage ins better in Vana Vihari eco tourism center? I want to go for wooden cottage, probably the one you have put photograph. But on their website the photo is different. Is it safe for family?
Thanks.

Newly constructed once's are good. Independent and safer also. Dont prefer the Container once.
If your team is big, prefer hill top one.
my choice is newly constructed once.
