How many times we find a temple right in the middle of a river bed? Accessible only during the summer season, Singhanath temple dates back to 8th or 9th century AD. It is situated on a small island and can be reached by vehicles with 4 WD. The surroundings are very quiet and the experience will be unique.

This temple on the banks of river Mahanadi is part of the tri complex which includes Ramnath . A must see destination for tourists interested in temple architecture . Contains very good carvings and is in great shape. The location is spectacular with the broad Mahanadi river lazily flowing near it.

Located along the banks of River Mahanadi, is the Simhanath Temple. The temple offers spiritual and mental well being. The temple is an example of amazing Kalinga architecture. Must visit place in Cuttack. It really looks very awesome. I will definitely recommend anyone visiting Cuttack to visit this Temple.
