We spent a lovely afternoon at the Basilica di Superga. The ride up on the tram was fun and the views overlooking Torino are outstanding. I recommend climbing up to the upper lookout and visiting the grotto of the Royal tombs.

Beautiful church, built by Savoy in thanksgiving for a victory over the French, but above all it is enchanting the views of Turin and the surrounding Alps. It is dtrictly necessary to visit it in a cloudless day, better if clear! For football fans, here...More

There are various ways of getting up to the Basilica, bus, car or the cogged tram system. The latter, although at time very busy, is probably the best. However the trip back, or at least getting onto the return tram can be hard fought. The...More

This is a very impressive historical and religious place in Turin. It presents a beautiful view to its guests but for me (as a football fan) it is much more related with Grande Torino’s tragical accident on 4th May 1949 at 17.05. The Torino players...More

About a 30 minute ride on the 68 bus from the center of Torino gets you to the tram to go up to the basilica. The station is a bit hard to find and smaller than expected, but the views from the train over snow-covered...More

We arrived at 13:00 and it was closed, but the view made it all forgotten. On the outside u can see a majestic structure standing on the top of the town.

Amazing place in Torino. Impressive view to city. The cathedral is a breath keeping place. Beautiful but with dark pages in its history.
