What a wonderful experience Skyrail always offers. A longtime favorite of mine, it never fails to disappoint. Gorgeous views, both down to the rainforest canopy, and out/over to the Coral Sea, combined with being able to hear the sounds of the rainforest while gliding almost silently above, plus a couple of stops to go out and wander around. Definitely and... More

My friends and I took the Skyrail near Cairns, Australia to Kuranda Village. It is a gondola sort of transport that ascends over the trees and much like a ski lift. We stopped part of the way up to see the rain forest that is older than the Amazon rain forest! And that is well worth it. Then you get... More

It's a nice way to see the rainforest, from above. The stops are nice as well, with the Barron Falls for example. It's relaxing and can be done under the rain. Maybe, just bring an umbrella.

Great, comfortable rail trip that takes ~ 30 mins each way. Opportunity to get off a a couple points to walk to waterfalls and observe lots of Australian birds and wildlife. Camera w/telephoto lens would be advised. Depending upon the time of year, the railway may shut down for lighting strikes. The trip to Kuranda was well worth it. Kuranda... More

The Skyrail is the best way to visit a rain forest. You see the rain forest from above as you glide above the canopy in a gondola and you can walk in the rain forest at two locations where you change from one gondola to another. Guided walked with a forest ranger are available at the first of these two... More

I feel I'm just repeating what everyone else has said. This really is a must-do activity. Our hotel kindly arranged a tour for us through Relax Tours. This included transport to and from accommodation and cost of trip itself. Obviously you pay for the transfer trip but all the stress of how to get there is removed if you don't... More

Went on the diamond class. So worth the extra price. Highly recommend with the glass floor and seeing the rainforest from above. The views were spectacular. Nice relaxing ride and the stops to view parts of the rainforest are breathtaking. If you're in the area on holidays you should do this. We caught the kuranda scenic railway train up and... More

After taking the scenic railway up to Kuranda and spending the day wandering around the Kuranda village this was the perfect way to end our day. We got on the Skyrail at the Kuranda village and headed down to the bottom the views were fantastic going over the tops of the trees and looking towards the horizon. There are two... More
