The experience from Jim Corbett National Park heavily depends on three different things: The zone which you choose to visit, your guide and driver, and luck.
None of those things is in your hands. Driver and guide are assigned to you (they differ a lot), areas depend on availability and internet descriptions (which in reality are very different) and luck (which includes weather and if any animal appears).

We agreed with Big Cats Safari on two safaris. Evening safari in Bijrani zone and morning safari in Durga Devi zone. We wanted to go with a "gypsy", which means an open off-road car for 6 persons. We wanted to share it with someone else (we were a couple) but we have been told that we can't because we need to know the names of all members during the reservation. So if you are one or two, you have to pay for a whole car.

Bijrani zone: It is a combination of open big grass area and forest. During the ride, you cross a small river multiple times. You can easily see (we saw) multiple times, three types of dears. Two types of monkeys. Some birds.
We saw none of the most important "big three", tiger, lepharh, and elephant. Even if the guide was really trying to find the tiger. He tried different locations, listened to the sound of the jungle, and waited in some areas but we didn't have luck. We heard that on this day one car saw a tiger and one lepharh. We appreciate the guide and driver effort, the zone is big with multiple roads and it was around a three-hour long safari.

For the second safari, we didn't have a lot of zone options. We chose Durga Devi because it was in shortest distance from our accommodation, because of a recommendation from Big Cats Safari, that it is the same quality in terms of chance to see tigers, lepharh, and elephants and it is also for three hours.

Durga Devi zone: In short... It is a forest on the hill. One-way road from the main entrance slowly down to the river valley, on the side of the hill and back. It is a dense forest on quite a steep hill. So chance to see any animal here is close to zero. It was a non-stop ride down without any effort from the driver or guide to see anything (probably they knew that there was nothing to see). On the way back we stopped at a river viewpoint. It was a 1.5-hour long "safari" for 80 euros (7000 rupees) per person. We saw nothing (one dear... which you can see anywhere around normal roads). It is clearly a tourist scam. We were stupid that we didn't read reviews for this zone from other tourists and that we believed recommendations from Big Cats Safari.

Phato zone: It is a flat area with different dense forests. There are some open areas, small lakes, and small rivers. Multiple roads. We got the same driver as in the Bijrani zone and an experienced guide. Guide asked us immediately at the beginning what we already saw and what we wanted to try to see. So we were aiming for elephant and tiger. Lephard is very rare even for guides. And this time we had luck with elephants! The guide found them and we saw them twice because the driver was able to find another road which was crossing their movement. Amazing view of dense forest and mist. After that, we saw multiple deer, monkeys, and wild pigs. No tigers... But still, the overall experience from this zone, driver and guide is incomparable with Durga Devi. There was even a place where we stayed for a while, heated up (was 7 degrees), drank tea and then continued with the safari.

So for someone who has never seen a forest or any kind of wild animal, it is for sure yes recommended. For someone who used to live around the forest or has seen a lot of "usual" animals then it is to think if he wants to pay for travel from Delhi and back, then pay for accommodation, then pay for travel to zone gates and back, then 80 euros per person for zone and then everything depends on luck if you see at least something.

The trip with Big cats was awesome and comfortable. Adil our guide cum Gypsy driver was excellent and had huge knowledge about Corbett's flora and fauna. Everything was arranged in an organised manner without any hassles. We are planning to visit Corbett again and definitely will again take the help of Big Cats Safari.

I have been utilizing the taxi services of Big Sat Safaris since 2023. In order to visit my favourite Jims Corbett tiger reserve i would land in Bareilly from Bangalore ( i am from Coimbatore ) . This year my Coimbatore Bangalore flight got delayed which meant i would have missed the Baeilly connection. Indigo put me on to the Delhi flight which departed very shortly . I called big cat safaris and they promptly provided me with a taxi service from Delhi ( i only had to pay the difference). The driver Shadi Singh was easily the very best i have ever had. He was so polite and curteous and he drove so well . Stopped at the Rajaji Dhaba for lunch . He was all one wanted in a driver . His Innova was immaculately maintained.

On the 17th , we were propmtly picked up at our resort and we had to be dropped off at Barelly airport. 45 mins from the airport Indigo informs us that the flight is cancelled due to fog , and they will put me on to the Delhi - Coimbatore flight the next day. This was in the middle of the highway .
Again big cat safari made sure the same driver drove us to Delhi and dropped us off at our Aero city hotel.
Thank you so much Big cat safari . To provide service during times such as this will be unforgetable. Both drivers were superb.
I completely reccmmend their services.

Family visit to Jim Corbett National Park was ultimate experience. Booking at Bijrani Jungle Camp with the help of Jassi was really comfortable. Staying at BJC was made memorable because of Mr Rawat who looked after us like his own family. I would recommend this place to all Nature Lovers.
