On our tour to James bond island this was our first stop. A hidden cave on a limestone island.
Amazing scenery especially the interior which is full of stalagmites and stalactites.
They gave us special miners helmets for safety reason.
The cave is big with many interesting things to see although half of it is in total darkness.
At the end of the cave there is a natural open to a lagoon.
Everything was great apart from a rude Indian family that made noise and they didnt let you enjoy or taking pictures. Somebody must talk to them to learn to behave.

This was another attraction that was included in the day tour and I had never been before. There are many rock formations in the cave that look like ice cream, there is only a small entrance to the cave and only 2 boats can enter during high tide, great spot for pictures and definitely recommend this to anyone who visits Phuket.

If you have already seen some caves before this is no different, and personally I didn't feel so exciting. Not a difficult one though, given that I would skip this, being visited more thrilling caves before.

You only can enjoy the scenery from outside the cave. But when the canoe got you inside, it was a little bit disappointing. It was very dark as the canoer had to turn on his flashlight. But still you couldn't see anything. In the middle of the cave, you would smell the bad poo which made me uncomfortable and bat sounds. Then you would just wish the canoe to turn around faster and get you out of there.

A must see for the geographically interesting attractive stalactites and the leaning rock face.Travel early if you want to beat the crowds which becomes a problem on this small island.

This stop was part of the Andaman Leisure Phuket organized Phang Nga Bay day tour. We were taken to the caves by guided canoe guides. During low tide, you can go inside the caves. Some spots you have to lay down completely flat to get under.

Our guide reminded us not to touch anything. He worked really hard getting us to many interesting spots. Someone brought in a banana, and there was one monkey jumping from one canoe over to the other. It was quite an awesome sight! We were one of the "lucky" one that got the monkey to visit. Not sure if it would have been different if the monkey went crazy. After all, they are wild animals.

Loved the experience. The caves were cool to visit on a very humid and hot sunny day.

There is a ‘drive-up beach’ on Koh Panak island that provides access to a cave. A tour boat had just pulled up on the beach as I arrived and was unloading its passengers. As the tour group was handing out protective helmets, I scooted past them and into the cave ahead of them, so that I had the cave to myself. My boat driver had given me a flashlight so that I could see inside the otherwise dark cave.

The tour group had followed me into the cave but they didn’t make it to the end to enjoy the view. It seems that the tour guides stopped them at the wall of stalagtites and turned them back to the entrance.

Beyond the wall of stalagmites, the floor is wet with a couple of inches of water. But you can skirt around the edges of the water to get to the end of the cave, where you'll be rewarded with a view of the island's lagoon.

We stopped here going back from James Bond Island. Entrance to this relatively spacious cave is located in a small bay at the very north of Koh Panak island (GPS 8°12'03.0"N 98°29'28.0"E). Bay is accessible to long tail boats only (too shallow for the speed-boats).
Climbing 5ft ladder gets you inside. Cave was dry - as it was outside the monsoon season, but it had all features you would expect a cave to have plus one extra - the other end of the cave opened to a lagoon accessible through this only (like a real pirate cave :-)
