very less people, and great history, you can ask some guide to lead you go to the top of the tomb, and have a good slight of the city. the ticket is 50rmb last year, a little bit expensive

Quite a lot of dignitaries went there before but I don't understand why though. It's okay but I won't recommend if you have a tight schedule. I personally enjoy it but the journey was planned as I wanted to go FaMen temple.

Recently, we waited 45 minutes to file through the Mausoleum (with thousands of others - mainly Chinese) to see a statue of Mao sitting in all his splendour and then to walk past a wax replica of Chairman Mao, lying in state, with his head/face lighted from under/beneath.
