Li bai's home town,g former residence. This is quiet and peaceful, containing statues and paintings depicting his life A monumental portal at the entrance , things get smaller until, after walking through a farmworkers' hamlet.you come to the single storey walled enclosure that reputedly was his home. Given that he died in 762 AD, you might be sceptical about the age of all the articles in the study, bedrooms of family members, etc.
Stil, it's a quiet place, and the toilets are only half as old as the rest. Don't expect startling insights into the works and life of China's greatest poet.
The rest of the site has a pretty pagoda on a hill, an imposing modern statue of the poet, and some so so courtyards.
40 yuan by taxi here from Jiangyou, 4 yuan back on the bus. If you are a Li Bai fan, give it a whirl, if not , accord it low priority.

You need sort of transportation to get here. Buses would work but maybe confusing if you are from local, but dont worry people are very helpful. So get your hiking gear ready and stay hydrated. Enjoy the experience when Li Bai was a kid and learning all the skills to become one of the greatest poet in the history of China.
