Loved this beach and stoked to find it was also patrolled Hardly anyone there which was also a big appeal as we weren't fighting for space on that gorgeous golden sand

If you are travelling north from Cairns, I recommend a stop at Ellis Beach. This is a beautiful unspoilt tropical beach. Sandy beach good for swimming and walking. Nearby rocky outcrops to explore. You can easily relax here and take in the view. Another nearby...More

We stayed for a family holiday in Trinity Beach (otherwise known as Ellis Beach) and swam here every day. There were lifeguards on duty every day and nets out for sharks. The beach is clean and the BBQ area at the north end is cleaned...More

A great little beach with calm waters for this part of the coast. Can get stingers in season and there are crocodile warning signs for certain times of year but generally safe and busy. The local surf club, across the highway, provide life guards and weather/water advice

Perfect beach. Water and sand are pristine. Amenities are fine. Shade is available. View from the water is sublime.

Great spot. You'll see some natural wildlife - like Cassowaries - strolling along this small private beach. It is a must see for anyone with a rental car and a free afternoon. There is a small campground at one end- should you decide to stay...More

Ellis beach would have to be perhaps the best beach north of cairns. Just a couple kms past Palm Cove, it has life guards on duty, stinger nets in place and beach reports adving of all conditions...including marine stingers. Great safe family beach.

Ellis Beach was an ideal location for a wedding ceremony. The sandy beach with palm trees along the edge made an idyllic setting for a recent wedding. The wedding was conducted toward the centre part of the beach as the southern section (out of view...More
