Loved this beach and stoked to find it was also patrolled Hardly anyone there which was also a big appeal as we weren't fighting for space on that gorgeous golden sand

A great little beach with calm waters for this part of the coast. Can get stingers in season and there are crocodile warning signs for certain times of year but generally safe and busy. The local surf club,across the highway,provide life guards and weather/water advice

Ellis beach would have to be perhaps the best beach north of cairns. Just a couple kms past Palm Cove, it has life guards on duty, stinger nets in place and beach reports adving of all conditions...including marine stingers. Great safe family beach.
