This beautiful beach is reached by a small ferry from Cabanas Boardwalk, well worth the 1.50 Euro ferry price. The beach has a cafe/bar and boardwalk crossing, you can walk for miles, lovely view across towards Monte Gordo or to the 2 lighthouses at the...More
We visited the Cabanas beach whilst staying in the area. The beach was beautiful, you could see for miles. You can catch a boat from Cabanas. There are amenities (toilets and showers) and a little cafe (which was very expensive and not great).
The beach is on a sandbar only accessible by boat.
Public boat access is afforded at the end of the boardwalk in Cabanas village. Currently €1.50 return.
The beach itself is very clean and slopes gently to the ocean. We observed families with small children...More
First time here, not far from where we are staying. A short boat ride away for 1.50 return each.
Perfect sunny day, nice and quiet.
Parasol and deck chairs for hire for a good price.
A must visit for a peaceful time away.

We stayed at the Cabanas Park Resort where the Activities Instructor took kayakers out on the sea as part of the 'in-house 'activities'. However we did see kayaks for hire along the harbour side in the town, near the Spar supermarket, close to where you could catch the ferry to the beach, but didn't take
note of the cost. We were there in Sept/Oct 2017.
