Great hiking area with marvellous views

The title says it all. Long and short hiking trails in summer and fall. Great snowshoe trails in winter. Snow gets in very early and stays late. Go !

From our Chalet in L'Anse St. Jean, we drove to the Discovery Center which took about 15 minutes after we entered the park itself. We had previously seen this view from a cruise that we had done a few days prior. There were several hiking paths that so bring good hikers or boots with you. Some of the fjords were... More

we visited in august and we weren't sure which hike to do but asked in the park office. the most popular hike is the one to the statue but the very helpful staff person subtley confirmed our assumption that the most popular hike might be a bit over run etc. we decided to do the cap du eternite hike (only... Starting from the pretty town and harbour, it just gets better. The scenery is wonderful, especially if you get off the more used tracks and explore. Water features, cliffs, scenery. It has it all.

We cruised up the Saguenay Fjord from the St Lawrence a beautiful day and spectaclar scenery, with bonus of plenty of Beluga whales to see. When we berthed and disembarked we received a very friendly greeting from the locals. A very clean group of 3 cities with plenty to see and do. I visited the Bagotville Air museum. RAF pilots... At the request of our 17 year old daughter, my husband and braved the Via Ferreta. The Via Ferrata is a mountain trail experience that is a combination of hiking and rock climbing. Using a harness and clip system, we escalated 180 meters above the beautiful Fjord. What an experience! The view was spectacular! We did the intermediate 4 hour... More

We went to the park for a quick stopover for camping. The site with services were pretty close together but we'll kept. Unfortunately the bugs were pretty bad but we attempted to go swimming in the fjord which was freezing but it was a spectacular view. I'd like to go back without my teen and be in a bit better... We drove from St Simeon [ferry] through the green countryside, lakes & rivers to the town of Saguenay - such a fantastic drive.

My friend and I spent a wonderful day at the park in June this year. We kayaked our way into the Fjord with a guide from the park and spent this afternoon hiking a way up the mountain. The trail is well kept and the view is simply amazing. As for the kayak, I really recommend the activity. However, t... More
