We went there as a new year trip and had huge expectations. But since we picked a wrong time of year to visit the place we didn't had such good experience. Forest was very dry at that time of year and we didn't get to see much. Some elephants and birds were the only things which we saw in the... More

We had 2 safaris within the park but driving on the main road through the reserve you will still see wildlife. We were in a canter, which is like an open sided bus so you get good views of the animals. Although we didn't see any tigers we got lovely bird sightings of kingfishers, storks, herons, flame backed woodpeckers, hoopoe,... More

We went right after it rained ... rather poured. The bus which was supposed to take us to the safari got stuck in slush and was delayed by an hr. The ride was comfortable as the driver took us only in the "safe" roads. We spotted a few deers, sambars, peacocks ... thats abt it.

It's around 60km from mysore and very calm place. We had the night stay at the tiger reserve accommodation for which the charged 1000 for the room and 200 per person registration charge. Room was ok for two ppl with bathroom attached and mosquitoes net on the bed. Place has a canteen which serves breakfast-lunch-dinner at normal rates (really nominal... More

The jungle has dried up as there is no rain in this area for last few months. This is offering a different type of jungle view. The visibility is quite good in the absence of lush green bushes. This is the reason we could spot many animals. The list include Elephant, Bear, Spotted dear, Sambar, Peacok. Tiger is difficult to... More

Bandipur is located about 80kms from Mysore. The drive take about 90 mins along well paved roads. Once you enter the forest area, the Safari place is about 10 mins out. Timings are from 630-9am or 330-530pm. You will need to book your slots at the information center. There are two types, 300 Bucks for a bus ride and 3000... More
