Food is yummy, but it's a pretty small market and got very busy from 6pm! Worth going to if you're in Jeonju.

Markets are a "local culture" in Korea. They are everywhere & about the same, selling similar stuff - more or less. Every city has few or many such markets of different sizes. This locals market is small & rundown, unlike those hugh nicer touristy markets found in big cities like Seoul or Busan.

Went to this place as it is one of the attractions in Jeonju. Most of the stalls were closed in the weekday afternoon.

Nambu market is great visiting during the day but at night it comes to life even more. The street food market is lively and offers a plethora of delicious Korean foods.

From Korean fried chicken to warm pork belly Kimbap. It’s a lively place for the whole family.

It starts quite early and fizzle our by 9pm, go early if you don’t want to miss it.

The market is famous for the night market, even for Korean. Even-though it's quiet pricey, you can taste a lot of Korean street food here!

We visited Nambu market during the afternoon and again on a Saturday night when all the extra food stalls are set up. If you've been to other big markets in Seoul or Busan, this is similar. We had planned to eat here on the Saturday night, but the lines were long so we ate somewhere else.

We bought 9 packets of seaweed at 10,000won (4 packets for 5000won is available too). There are many grocery stalls and food inside the market. Walk up tp 2nd storey for the hipster stores

This place feels like it's near every tourist spot! It's near Pungnammun Gate, the traditional village and the church (forgot the name of the church). So many things to see around as well. The food inside the market are relatively cheaper and some of their goods as well. They have traditional food and ahjumma/ahjusshi get-up if you want to wear those kind of stuff. The people inside are also friendly. The place looks like a small Namdaemun market actually, but if you are in Jeonju, might as well visit this place. ;)

We did not venture far enough into the Nambu market only because what we first found were materials, home decorations, we attempted to buy a few deep fried doughnut like snacks at one of the stalls on the entrance to the market but could not get our order across to the assistant with our limited Korean and English was not understood.

I went there twice - at night and then the following morning. It was quite packed and crowded at night, but I managed to try some snacks and enjoy the atmosphere in the market. There were some shops on the second floor. In the morning, I went to a random restaurant and had food and it was pretty decent.
