Essex Wildlife have really made an impact on Belfairs wood and reserve. Since the visitors centre has been opened the improvement to the natural environment has been significant. Well worth a visit any time of year. The guided walks by the enthusiastic, to put it mildly, ranger are brilliant.

I hadn't realised just how big Belfairs Woods is. There are so many walks to do to suit all energy levels as well as the amount of time you have to spend there. I will definitely be visiting again! A great time had by all :-)

We had a lovely walk and then we went for a cuppa in the newly built visitors centre. They make a lovely cup of tea so... More

Beautiful place to go, especially in Autumn when it's a crisp, dry day. Nice for kids, they do pony rides for little ones. Woods full of squirrels for your dog to chase. There's also a nice pub/restaurant, great Sunday roasts. Definitely go again.

Take a stroll through the woods. Visit the Woodland Centre and have something to eat or drink. Pick up a form and walk the Sculpture Trail and find the carvings made along the way. Why not have a go on the pitch and putt golf, find the kids play area in the woods. On a Sunday book into the Greenhouse... More
