This is a small beach just near to my Hotel. As this is the ferry point, so lot of boats are found all the time. The canal tours also start from here. The Sand is bit mushy.

A must stop beach if your on Lembongan. Tons of bars, restos, seating and shops in the area. Come at sunset and your in for a treat. The beach floods with people wanting to catch that icon Bali sunset and its worth it. Beach is super clean and you can start or end boat tours here as well.

Not isolated in any way, Mushroom Bay Beach was nevertheless charming and relaxing especially at le Nusa Beach Club. It was even enjoyable to watch all the boats unloading on the beach since that only happened a few times per day. The beach is not really great was swimming but it is lovely anyway, and the restaurants at Hai Tide (Bar & Grill and Restaurant) are highly recommended.

This is where the fast boat comes in so you get lots of boats coming and and the shore is lined with lots of resorts and bars.
Central to lots of things and an easy spot to get good food coffee and bike hire, mini markets, island tours etc.
If you want this sort of stay then this is a chilled out version of Sanur.......
If you want a more remote experience, go to the more developed end of the island - you can still find tours and mini mart/ warungs and places to stay but it’s very peaceful.

According to some descriptions this beach is available for swimmers. During our time here (beginning of dec.) it was only the place for boats, which bring you to snorkeling, diving, etc...clean beach although.

I was staying on the north of the island so just visited Mushroom beach for a day trip - but looks like a lot of people do this from the mainland too as there were a lot of boats/ferries coming in and out.
The beach is quite big so there is space for everyone - didn't feel too crowded (I travelled in the low season though - November) and I walked all the way to the right where it's slightly less easy to access the water directly from the beach due to rocks, but the beach was much quieter.

Awful beach. Just a place for boats coming and going from main island. Grungy ticket offices, dirty cafes. Rubbish everywhere. Don't hang around.

A nice beach with clean sand and calm waters, but the boat traffic makes it unsuitable for swimming. That said, it's a great place to enjoy a cold drink or watch the sunset, especially at one of the fancy restaurants overlooking the water. No locals trying to sell trinkets or bracelets either.
The surrounding area has lots of hotels and restaurants though, so staying nearby would be a great alternative to the main beach on Lembongan. You'll need a scooter to explore further around the island though.

We recently visited with our 2 you g children and found this beach to be just perfect for hanging out, building sand castles and watching the sunset.

Which fast boat operators run from Sanur to Mushroom Beach? How much does it cost for a family of 5? Are tickets for children cheaper?

Scoot does as I remember seeing them and I hear Marlin does as well. Unsure of rates, phone and negotiate.
