Like a journey back to the early Middle Ages. Beautiful Medieval monastery, not destroyed by baroque modifications, with astounding frescoes, and located in mountainous, scenic area.

If you are in the area, well worth a few hours. If you have a car, even better. The town of Subiaco is nice to...I think Gina Lolabrigitta was born here...

In the area during our holidays, we can say that it is a lovely stop for a visit. The scenery is fantastic and it is worth to stop without necessarily visiting the inside.
