We were lucky to tour the caves. My husband, parents and I did not pre-book a tour. We were on stand by and when the family did not return to claim their tickets, we snatched them up. You have to pre-book the cave tours. They sometimes are booked 2-4 weeks in advance. Besides that, it was wonderful. We took a... More

The tour of Punkva Caves is in 2 pieces - the 1st part is a walking tour, the 2nd part is a boat trip on the underground river through the caves. The boat trip was fantastic!!!! The walking part had scenic views - HOWEVER, they overbook their tours, so by the time the last portion of the group gets on... More

Must agree with the others, that this is beautiful and interesting place to visit. A boat trip inside the caves, with funny comments of the guide, was wonderfull. But what I want to say to all, who want to visit a part of Moravian Karst called "Punkevní jeskyně" (River Punkva caves), the one including the boat trip on Punkva river:... More

Nice place to spend week in southern Morava. I was tired with many caves, but in hot weather was cool to be in. I recommend to climbe on a sightseeing tower in the middle of the Karst. Beautifull country view. Friendly people in every village.

This is a beautiful area to walk and hike amongst the hills trees and creeks. It can be worth a half a day outing. The cave tour lasts about an hour consisting of a walking and boat portion. There are not many places to see such interesting formations. it is worth the visit! Best to get there early as there... More

I would only be repeating other reviews, its a unique experience that is certainly worth it! Just make sure if you want to do the cave exploring (boats) on the weekend, to book well in advance (at least a month).

We were limited on time and only were able to visit Punkva Caves and Macocha Abyss. Both of them are amazing! I believe it is challenging to visit all the caves in one day. Book the tickets in advance and come as early as you can.

We visited moravsky kras as a group of adults and children-6 or 7 years old and we were really excited. The punka cave is beautiful and when you come to Macocha it is breathtaking. For larger group I recommend to check the visit in advance. Katerinska cave is also really impressive.
