Dogs are allowed into the castle and onto the castle walls, however there are no signs whatsoever saying that dogs are not allowed in the shop/museum/cafe. The one way system around the castle is so unclear and the signs were falling down so we went...More

We went to the castle with our 2 dogs. It is an English heritage site and is a bit expensive for what is left of the castle. On the plus side the dogs were allowed everywhere in the ruins including walking on the wall. The...More

We visited in half term, lots of Halloween events and the opportunity to toast marshmallows around the cauldron. The cafe was quite slow but food was lovely. The toilets however were disgusting, the floor was wet and dirty. It was really hard to change the...More

Fab historical site for any history fans. Loved looking around the castle and reading information. They have a lovely gift shop and the cafe does good food too. Just be careful if scared of heights and also would recommend going when the weather is warm

A magnificent set of ramparts which you can walk right around. The view is amazing. You don't get a sense of the disobedience which went on from the three dukes of norfolk that owned it unless you listen to the free audio tour. We also...More
