I went to Gyeryongsan at the beginning of July on a somewhat rainy day. It's been a mild summer, so the weather was great. Once we got up into the mountain it was very cool along the river. We took the 107 to the 711 outside the entrance of the park. It's the last stop on the bus and it's... More

How to get there: From inside Chungnam National University, you can take bus 48 and get off at Yuseong Spa stn. Then take another bus, 107, and get off at the last station. There, your adventure begins. ♡ We were a group of 5 friends who wanted to hike one of the peaks of Gyeryong National park. We have to... More

Gyeryongsan or "Rooster Dragon Mountain" is a great place to go hiking and experience Korean nature. There are several different trails, ranging from the mostly-flat, paved main trail into the park that is a treasure of natural beauty in itself to the more challenging intermediate, advanced, and expert trails that take you to the many peaks and ridges along the... The weather is cooling even in summer season, a good place to relax your mind. The park is quiet the air is fresh perfect for morning jog! Read more on my blog: http://loveanqila.blogspot.sg/2013/08/travelogue-gyeryongsan-national-park.html

This park have a lot to offer. Several trail with each difficulty and distance. Please prepare your outfit and shoes and dont forget to bring water and some snack. The trail could be tricky and slippery after rain.

I highly recommend visitor to Daejeon area to visit Gyeryongsan National Park. There are many good hiking tracks in Korea, but in my opinion this park is among the best (for 1 day trips). If you like hiking, there are several peaks one may visit, a good option is to hike from Donghaksa to Gapsa - it'll take about 4-5... More

My wife and I did the walk from Donghaksa to Gapsa. Just a note of caution. This is a serious hike, it's not just a stroll in the park. You will need above-average fitness, and proper hiking gear (we only had sneakers) It's only about a 5 km walk, we did it in 4.5 hours. It is steep, uneven and... More

I hiked from Gapsa temple to Donghaksa temple. Gapsa is easily accesible from Gongju and then from Donghaksa I took a bus to Daejeon, went to the hot springs there and then returned to Gongju. The temples themselves are also nice and the hike is only a few hours and has nice views at certain points.
