The well maintained 18th Century Kitchen Garden is the most striking feature of the Chateau. Produce from the garden is served in the small restaurant at the side of the Chateau. The courtyard is often host to performances (in English) of the plays of Shakespeare.

A great place to visit, lots to learn and a great garden. Children and teenage will learn about Swiss and European history. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful museum and offers a real snap-shot into local 18th century aristocratic life. There's a wonderful audio tour which can be adapted both by language and adult and child version. We were fascinated by this as a family and in each room...More

The domestic displays in the sumptuous ground floor rooms of this château illustrate life there in the mid 18th century. The English audio guide for this part is excellent, and from time to time an actress playing the part of Baroness Mathilda Guiguer makes a...More

Great place to spend an afternoon - the garden is a real highlight as are some of the well curated rooms in the chateau. Interesting also are the interpretive signs in the shape of costumed inhabitants of the period. So I would suggest a walk...More

Loved the chateau, at one time owned by Napoleon's brother Joseph, and the museum (part of the Swiss National Museum) was very interesting and well-done. Will certainly visit again. It also has a small gift shop.

I would not call that a brunch. It's some cold cuts and salad for entree, then a spicy chicken dish for the main course. It is a shame because the chateau is such a nice place. It deserves to have a more culinary experienced staff....More

We live close to the Chateau de Prangins which houses part of the Muséé National Suisse. It 's definitely worth discovering. Apart from the permanent collection and exhibits, there are frequent temporary exhibits, such as a current exhibit on Swiss Press Photo Awards. The ground...More
