We visited primarily to learn about the black sand but fojnd a wealth of local history. The curator was so helpful and gave us a lot of interesting local tips.

It might be small but its big on the history of the area. Its well laid out with lots of interesting tidbits to explore. Loved the story of the rabbit lantern on the bridge! Photos and displays are great. Gold coin donation only to enter.

We just stopped for some fresh air and saw the museum and art gallery. Two lovely ladies told us everything we wanted to know about the area. Opposite there's a cafe-restaurant.
