It is very beautiful and you can get right up close to it and take photos. You can even climb onto the rocks if that's your thing.

It's a beautiful waterfall. Especially in a good weather. But if you are not driving, this will take like an hour and half to get there. Make sure you have bought the day pass for the bus as well (1000/day, bought at the tourist center...More

Close to the road but a world away - a really high waterfall with millions of dragon flies patrolling in front of it!. Plenty of room to sit and stare.

夏後半は屋久島は雨季の季節 台風やらすごいです、 そんな時に、特に雨上がりの日に行くとすごく感動します。ちなみに私はこれが二度目。 This was my second time visit to Oh-ko Waterfall. Yakushima is a cross-point of major typhoons coming to Japan. 勢いが感じられる滝です!雨の強い日に見に行って、遠くからでも飛沫が来て水圧を感じました。自然の勢力は凄いなあと思いました。必見の滝です! You can really feel the power of the waterfall! I went on a rainy day, so even from far away I could feel the spray and pressure of the water. I thought the power of nature was really amazing. It's a must-see spot!

Big water fall, and even if the water make a big noise, it is a really quiet place. If you come early in the morning, you will have less tourists !

easily accessible, just a hundred meter from the small parking lot. Nice close up view of a beautiful waterfall, can feel the water droplets on your face in the hot summer time!

It isn't very easy to get to without a car, but it is definitely worth a trip. It was really beautiful, and a lot bigger than I was expecting.

Great for a pick nick in a cool breeze. Easily accessible from the round-the-island road: small parking lot and short footpath. Plenty of space to watch and enjoy the cool breeze.
