Visited with my young children. They enjoyed icy cold temperature water to cool off from hot weather. I bought a plastic bottle and took spring water to home. Would love to visit again.

Just good to bring kids to see how a source of spring looks. We drank some of the water there and it's really refreshing. However I don't think it's worth making an effort purposely to go visit the spring.

The water bubbles up from underground in a most impressive way. A still photograph cannot capture the liveliness of the place. In the autumn the surrounding trees are beautiful. There is a small shrine just beyond the spring. You can taste the clear, clean, tasteless...More

We came here and it was rather empty. We enjoyed filling up water from the Spring, walking around and taking in the sight and sound. Come prepared with empty water bottles. The water is so refreshing!!!

I wouldn't make a trip to this area just to visit this place. Unless one opts for the paper-making experience (takes abt 30min) in a shop within the area, I think it only takes around 10 minutes to view this place. Although I was quite...More

Excellent place to see the water springing up from the land. It flows like a small stream. Many tourists collect fresh water from the spring for drinking. Ultra clean environment and ultra clean water are the attractions of the site . One should see the...More

The Shirakawa Spring is one of the most important water sources in this entire area, and it was so interesting to see the constant bubbles coming up from the earth - definitely another unique aspect of this volcanic region. The water stays at a constant...More
