It is not worth the ¥1000 for the ticket entrance. I suggest looking at the outdoor arts structures which are free. The paid indoor section is very small and involves four rooms with a tiny amount of art. Save your money and look at the art in the gardens outside and use your money for the Benesse house museum instead. Much more worthwhile.

This is a minimal museum, minimal art, minimal exhibits, unfortunately that doesn't apply to the price as well. There are only two themes on display here, rocks and squares, and about 4 variations on this theme, big rock, big square, small rock with long square, ect. Takes 5 minutes to see everything.

The building looks a bit cool from the outside, but only go in if you like feeling like you just stepped into a Simpsons bit about modern art.

The term "minimalist" is not lost on me, but this museum - if you can call it that - is ridiculous. I went through it in 5 mins, which includes walking around twice assuming I surely must have missed something the first time.

Absolutely brilliant architecture, I almost passed the museum by as I didn't find the entrance at first! Loved the museum from start to finish. Would definitely go back!

Go and find out for yourself! Really is a wonderful find in the world as are all the museums in the area. The out door art is quite interesting

Okay, it's modern. it's "radical" and it's "out there" and, overall, again, worth the visit - the two boats on the shore (echoed at the Benesse Art Museum) are worth the trip if nothing else!

Tadao Ando’s architecture and the setting of the museum provide a perfect context to enjoy Lee Ufan’s sculptures and art work. This a museum for contemplation - with beautifully conceived and deceptively restrained artworks. If you want a large quantity of art with immediate impact then Lee Ufan’s minimalism may not be for you. If you are prepared to be challenged and take the time to appreciate why Lee Ufan and Tadao Ando are internationally renowned then there is much to be discovered.

Really nice sculptures in the garden. Nice architecture but only few exhibits. Quite expensive for the few things you can see inside and much less impressive than chichu.

The sculptures in the entry are impressive and well situated on the grounds. The incredible structure of the museum by Tadao Ando houses a collection of only 7 items. If you really want to ponder each item you could spend maybe 30 minutes.

If this place was cheap then it would be a nice, quick activity - but it's not. Unless you specifically like Lee Ufan and/or don't value your coins much you will be left asking "did I miss the door to the other wing?". Even the Ando influence is unimpressive compared to the other options on this island. Get online now and book tickets to Chichu instead!
