One of the most impressive things we have seen during our visit to Japan. This is a must see! The serenity inside this installation is absolutely amazing. Totally worth the trip. The island itself and the ferry ride are also spectacular.

Teshima Art Museum is an extraordinary experience I have had while visiting Japan. I found peace in this museum compare to the main cities in Japan. Once you arrived from Uno Port, you could use bike/bus to reach this place. Believe me, the effort to...More

No brochure, google search or story telling can replace the experience of actually visiting this place. It is a bit out of the way, but take time and visit also other art locations on the islands of Teshima and Naoshima.

This museum is very conceptual, with the philosophic concept from the Japanese zen, the white washed building's height and curve merged perfectly into the terrain. The sea, the trees and the rice terrace forms a perfect backdrop for the museum, and is indeed a soothing...More

I won’t categorize here as a museum, I would say this is an art piece connected to the nature. The main exhibit is an oval shaped architecture sitting on the green hillside overlooking the rice terraces and the Seto Inland Sea. Once I stepped in,...More

This is the most amazing place I have ever been to. It appears so simple but it makes you so aware of yourself and the world around you. The logical mind cannot comprehend how this can be such an amazing experience and that might be...More

It was an amazing feeling when I entered the building . I can feel energy approaches towards me. It feels like I'm in a space of tranquillity. Even in a small voice or move it will echoes the whole place .

If you are in the area, you should visit Teshima Art Museum. Though it's not really a museum and more of a single structure, the space presents many objects and movements to contemplate. Beads of water, balls, and streamers all move according to the wind,...More

I stop at uno train station, from there just in front the boat. Be there before 13 or you risk not be able to arrive in time. Check biat hours. And enjoy that special place. I have a video on youtube, dgttv
