If you like shrines, then visit Oki Shrine. It is a large buidling, with many nice garden areas. This was built to commemorate the 700th anniversary of Emperor Gotoba's death. Gotoba was exiled to the Oki Islands in the 13th century and spent 19 years...More

I visited here in the summer with some friends. It is a big shrine, with a tomb nearby (where a famous Emperor of Japan - Emperor Gotoba - is buried).
